    ANTHONY RUNSTEDLER - Anthony Runstedler, 73, of Linwood died Saturday, Feb. 17, at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener, after a brief illness.

    Born April 27, 1889, in Linwood, Mr. Runstedler was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Runstedler. He was a farmer. Mr. Runstedler was a member of St. Mary's RC Church, Linwood; the Holy Name Society and League of the Sacred Heart.

    Surviving are his wife, four sons, Hubert of Waterloo, Jacob of Hesson, Walter and Gerrard, both of Linwood; six daughters, Mrs. William (Irene) Geler of Preston, Mrs. Walter (Doretta) Bretherton and Mrs. Elmer (Monica) Whitner, both of Kitchener; Mrs. James (Shirley) Lessard of Waterloo, Mrs. Carl (Eleanor) Kroetsch of St. Clements and Mrs. Maurice (Rose) Doney of Drayton; four brothers, Herbert, Joseph, John and Ephram, all of Linwood, three sisters, Mrs. Vincent Walter of Elmira, Mrs. Thomas Doherty of Linwood and Sister M. Chrysologa of Waterdown, and 36 grandchildren.

    Passed away suddenly, at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, on Thursday, February 22, 2018, in her 95th year. Beloved wife of the late William Geier (2011). Loving mother of Marilyn and Ted Barker, Paul and Jo-Anne Geier, Ruth and Alfred Fach, Colleen and Dave Cooper, Mark and Audrey Geier. Dearly loved grandmother of 21 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Survived by son-in-law, Tim (Marlene) Cross, brother Gerard (Kate) Rundstedler and sister-in-law, Eileen Hnatejko. Predeceased by parents Anthony and Rachel (Straus) Runstedler, daughter, Jean Cross (2009), granddaughter Melissa Fach, five sisters and three brothers. The family will receive friends at the Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Road, Cambridge, Ontario, on Wednesday, February 28, 2018, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial, will be held at St. Clement's Roman Catholic Church, 745 Duke Street, Cambridge, Ontario, on Thursday, March 1, 2018, at 11 a.m.

    RUNSTEDLER, Walter Francis - Peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on Thursday, September 20, 2007 at Palmerston and District Hospital. Walter Runstedler in his 78th year, of Drayton. Survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Anne (Brenner) Runstedler and beloved children, Marlene Runstedler of Drayton, Donna and Wayne Vollmer of RR 3, Listowel, Sandra and Gerry Grubbe of Drayton, Paul and Lisa Runstedler of Millbank, Joanne and Kevin Moser of Elmira. Lovingly remembered by his 12 grandchildren, Matthew Brown, Amanda (Tony) Fonseca, Rebecca, William and Anthony Vollmer, Dominic and Isabella Grubbe, Sarah and Bradley Runstedler, Allison, Tyler and Ryan Moser. Survived by two sisters, Irene (Bill) Geier, Rose (Maurice) Downey; one brother, Gerard (Kate) Runstedler; one brother-in-law, Jim Lessard and two sisters-in-law, Mae Runstedler and Emmeline Runstedler. Predeceased by his parents, Anthony and Regina (Strauss) Runstedler; two brothers, Hubert Runstedler and Jacob Runstedler; and four sisters, Doretta Bratherton, Eleanor (Carl) Kroetsch, Shirley Lessard and Monica (Elmer) Witmer. Walter farmed for many years and was a construction worker. He enjoyed playing cards, especially a good game of solo. He lived all of his years outside Linwood until his retirement, when he moved to Drayton. Walter's family will receive friends and relatives at the Dreisinger Funeral Home , Elmira on Sunday, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Teresa of Avila RC Church, Flamingo Drive, Elmira on Monday, September 24, 2007 at 10: 30 a.m. with Rev. Sudie MacDonald C.R. officiating followed by interment in St. Clements RC Cemetery. Parish prayers will be offered at the funeral home on Sunday afternoon at 4 p.m. In his memory, donations to St. Teresa's Parish Building Fund or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family as expressions of sympathy.

    CROSS, Jean Elizabeth Peacefully with her loving family at her side, after a long courageous battle with cancer which she fought with dignity and grace, on Wednesday December 9, 2009, in her 60th year. Jean was born in Kitchener, and lifelong resident of Cambridge. She was very active in St.Clement's Parish were she started the Sunday School program and the library. She was instrumental in the Baptismal Program and the CWL. She was a Eucharistic Minister and Lector. She volunteered at St. Michael's School where she ran the craft club and the Strong Start reading program. She was a member of the Lang's Farm Village Association and the Red Hat Society. Cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends at the Barthel Funeral Home , 566 Queenston Rd., Cambridge 519-653-3251, Thursday, December 17, 2009 from 7-9 p.m. and Friday, December 18, 2009 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Clement's RC Church, 745 Duke St., Cambridge, Saturday, December 19, 2009 at 10 a.m. Parish prayers will be recited at the funeral home on Thursday, December 17, 2009 at 8:30 p.m. As expressions of sympathy donations to the Right to Life would be gratefully appreciated by the family.
