    EDWARD CLARE McGOEY 1917 - 2007 Passed away, Friday February 2, 2007 at Freeport Health Centre of Grand River Hospital, surrounded by family after battling complications from a stroke. Edward was predeceased by his beloved wife, Mildred (nee Koebel) and his parents, Frank and Catherine McGoey. He will be fondly remembered and missed by his daughter, Debbie and her husband John Fitton; his grandchildren, Kathy, Steven, Allan and his wife Beth and by his great-grandchildren, Andrew and Gordon. Edward is also survived by his sister, Mary Lehman and his brother, John Mcgoey as well as his many nieces and nephews. Edward was a long time member of St Louis RC Parish in Waterloo. He worked at Maple Lane Dairy for 38 years before his retirement. Edward also proudly served overseas in the Second World War with the Queen's Own Rifles division out of Toronto. Friends are invited to share their memories of Edward with his family at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street South in Waterloo on Monday, February 5, 2007 (today) from 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday February 6, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Parish Prayers will be held at 8:45 p.m. Tuesday. The Mass of Christian Burial in celebration of Edward's life will be held at St. Louis RC Church, 53 Allen Street East, Waterloo, on Wednesday, February 7, 2007 at 10 a.m. with Rev. Ray Reitzel C.R. as celebrant. Interment will follow in Woodland Cemetery, Kitchener. Following the committal service, friends are invited to join the family in the Funeral Home's Historic Kuntz House for refreshments and a time to visit.
