    MRS. EMILINE LANZ

    Mrs. Emiline Lanz of Linwood passed away early Sunday morning in her 77th year after an illness of five weeks duration. Born at Gadshill In 1858, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Adam Euler, the early part of her life was spent at Gadshill and Mornington Township. She was married on Sept. 27, 1881 at Millbank to William Lanz who predeceased her three and one-half years ago.

    Surviving are two sons and five daughters, Jacob and Oscar of Linwood, Mrs. L. Neumaster of the Ninth Line of Wellesley, Mrs. J. Berscht of Wellesley, Mrs. John Cartlidge of Media, Alberta, Mrs. M. Glebe of the Ninth Line of Wellesley, and Miss Adeline Lanz of Kitchener; one sister, Mrs. Anthony Branch and one brother, Henry Euler, both of Michigan.

    Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 1: 30 pm at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Glebe, and later at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Linwood. Interment will be made at Linwood.

    Mrs. Louis J. Newmaster - Mrs. Louis J. Newmaster, 82, of RR 1, Linwood, died Wednesday in K-W Hospital after a brief illness. Born in Mornington Township, July 20, 1882, she was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Lanz. She had lived on a farm near Linwood for the past 54 years. She was a member of the Women of the Church. Her husband, whom she married Jan. 12, 1904, in Millbank, died April 25, 1963. Surviving are two sons, Arnold of RR 1, Linwood, and Gordon of Baden; one daughter, Mrs. Lorne (Idella) Rieck of Kitchener; one brother Oscar of Linwood; two sisters, Mrs. Milton Glabb of Linwood and Addie Lanz of Kitchener, four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The body is at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home until noon Saturday when removal will be made to St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Linwood, for services at 3 p.m. conducted by church pastor Rev. A. L. Wedman. Burial will be in St. Peter's Lutheran Church cemetery Linwood.

    Jacob Lanz - By Record Correspondent - Linwood, Nov 10 - Jacob H. Lanz, 65, Linwood, died yesterday at Memorial Hospital, Listowel, after a lengthy illness. Born Feb. 3, 1884, at Millbank, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Lanz. He was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Linwood. Surviving is his wife, the former Elizabeth Gerth, whom he married Nov 5, 1910, at Linwood. There is one brother, Oscar, Linwood, and five sisters, Mrs. Louis Newmeister and Mrs. Milton Glebe, both of Linwood, Mrs. Minnie Berscht, Bridgeport, Mrs. John Cartlidge, Medicine Hat, Alta., and Adeline, Kitchener. A private funeral service will be held Sunday at the residence, Linwood, at 2 pm with a public service at St. Peter's Lutheran Church at 2: 30 pm. Burial will be in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery, Linwood. Rev. Walter Goos, pastor of the church, will officiate. The body is resting at the home in Linwood.

She was born March 1, 1986, in Mornington Township, daughter of the late William Lantz and Emmeline Euler. She was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran church, Wellesley. On Sept. 27, 1906, she was married to George Berscht. He predeceased her on Nov. 26, 1927. She was predeceased also by a brother, Jacob. Surviving are two sons, Albert J. of Bridgeport and Earl L. of Elmira; a daughter, Mrs. Edward (Della) Heipel of Bamberg, a brother, Oscar, of Linwood; four sisters, Mrs. Louis ()live) Neumeister of Linwood, Mrs. John (Margaret) Cartlidge of Medicine Hat, Alta., Miss Addie Lanz of Kitchener and Mrs. Milton (Mabel) Glebe of Linwood; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. The body is at the Schreiter Sandrock Funeral Home where the funeral will be conducted Thursday at 2 pm with Rev. Eric Reble officiating. Burial will be in St. Mark's Lutheran Cemetery, Wellesley.

    NEWMASTER, Gordon - On Sunday, Aug. 22, 1993, at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener, after a brief illness.

    He was born in Wellesley township 78 years ago, a son of the late Louis and Olive (Lantz) Newmaster. He resided in Baden and was the former owner and operator of Gord's Confectionary in Baden prior to retirement. He was a member of St. James Lutheran Church. Baden and had served in the RCAF during the Second World War.

    Beloved husband of the former Margaret Bettschen who predeceased him May 17, 1985. Loving father of Janet and her husband Art Pommer of Listowel, Jean and her husband Lorne Anderchek of Ottawa and Shirley and her husband Ted Sivyer of Kitchener. Ever remembered by six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Survived by one brother, Arnold and one sister, Idella and her husband Lorne Rieck, all of Waterloo.

    Friends and relatives may call at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron St., New Hamburg, today (Monday). 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, August 25, 1993 at 10 a.m. transfer will be made to St. James Lutheran Church, Baden, for the funeral service at 11 a.m., with Rev. Stewart. Schroeder officiating. There will be a time of fellowship and lunch in the church. basement followed by interment in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery. Linwood.

    GLEBE, Harold Milton - Peacefully, on Saturday, November 18, 2006, at Knollcrest Lodge, Milverton. Harold Glebe, in his 87th year, formerly of Linwood and New Hamburg. Dear brother of Mildred Stilling of Kitchener, Clair K. and Ruby Glebe of Kitchener and brother-in-law Ivan Perschbacher of Waterloo. Also survived by his nine nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, Milton and Mabel (Lanz) Glebe, one brother Arthur Glebe, one sister Evelyn Perschbacher and one brother-in-law Walter Stilling. Harold was a lifelong member of St. Peters Lutheran Church, Linwood and served in the Canadian Army during the Second World War. The family will receive friends and relatives at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira on Tuesday, November 21 (today) from 7-9 p. m. At 11 a. m. on Wednesday transfer will be made to St. Peters Lutheran Church, Linwood for funeral service at 2 p. m. with Pastor Mark Urquhart officiating followed by interment in St. Peters Lutheran Cemetery. In his memory, donations to St. Peters Lutheran Church or Knollcrest Lodge would be appreciated by the family as expressions of sympathy. The family would like to thank the staff at Knollcrest Lodge for the care and compassion shown to Harold while he was there.

    HEIPEL, John H. At his home near Wallenstein, on Wednesday, July 10, 2013 in his 85th year. Beloved husband of the late Shirley (nee Schott) in 2003. Loving father of Sharon (David Holowack) of Toronto, Patricia (Craig Bailey) of Cambridge, David (Christine) of Kitchener, Joanne of Toronto, Nancy of Vancouver and Andrew of Wallenstein. Dear grandfather of Robert, Annie, Daniel and Brianna. He will be sadly missed by his brothers; Earl (Grace), Ken (Betty) and by his nieces and nephews. He will also be lovingly remembered by the entire Schott family. Predeceased by his parents Edward and Elizabeth (nee Berscht) and his sister-in-law Audrey Heipel. John farmed in the Erbsville area for many years, drove a school bus and enjoyed travelling the highways, crisscrossing all of North America. He was a devoted member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Erbsville. Friends may call at the FUTHER-FRANKLIN FUNERAL HOME, 1172 Henry Street, Wellesley, on Wednesday 7-9 p.m. and Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Erbsville, on Friday, July 19, 2013 at 11 a.m. Pastor Olaf Poulsen officiating.
