MARTIN, Lydia (Mrs. Ion W.) - Peacefully on Monday, July 14, 2008 at her home, RR 2, West Montrose. Lydia (Frey) Martin, in her 64th year. Wife of Ion W. Martin for 15 years. Mother of Sarah and Elias Gingrich of RR 1, West Montrose, Cleason and Naomi Martin of RR 2, Elmira, Elo and Naomi Martin of RR 5, Lindsay, Onias and Naomi Martin of RR 3, Teeswater, Ervin and Naomi Martin of RR 2, West Montrose, and Erma Martin at home. Also survived by 16 grandchildren. Daughter of Barbara Frey of RR 1, Wallenstein and the late David B. Frey. Sister of Onias and Salome Frey of RR 1, Wallenstein and Nancy Frey and Lovina Frey of Hawkesville. Predeceased by her mother, Leah (Martin) Frey; one brother, Amsey; one grandson, Jason and Ion's first wife, Maryann Martin (1992). Friends may call at her home, RR 2, West Montrose on Tuesday from 1 - 8 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. where Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, July 17, 2008 at 9 a.m. then to Winterbourne Mennonite Meeting House for further service and burial in the adjoining cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to the Dreisinger Funeral Home , Elmira.
