VATH, Vera A. - Peacefully, at Lisaard House, on Wednesday. January 21, 2009, surrounded by her family, after a courageous battle with cancel, the former Vera Angela Mowat, aged 66 years. Vera was a member of St. Agnes Church, Cursillo, the K-W Serra Club and the Waterloo Knights of Columbus Seniors. Loving wife to Adrian. Dear mother to Mark Caskenette and his wife Danielle of Tillsonhurg and Benjamin and his wife Christine of Drumbo. Cherished grandma to Seth, Kyra Rose, Ella and Adisin. Sister to Father David Mowat CR of Waterloo. Ralph and his wife Cecile, Audrey Fletsch and her husband Paul and Doris Keogh and her husband Kevin all of Kitchener, Jerome and his wife Anita and Edward all of Cambridge. Marie of London, Sylvia of Toronto. Sister Ruth Ann SJ of Hamilton, Anne Caskenette and her husband Robert of Tillsonburg, Frances Schneider and her husband John of Kingston and Pauline of St. Catherines. Sadly missed by her aunt, Beatrice Thomas of Teeswater. Predeceased by her parents. George Mowat and Helen Caskenette; her first husband. Peter Caskenette; and a sister, Marguerite. Friends may call at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W, Kitchener on Saturday from 7-9 p.m. and on Sun-day from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where the Cursillo 5th day service will be held at 6:30 p.m. and the parish prayers will be recited at 8:45 p.m. A Funeral Mass and commendation will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. from St. Agnes Church with Father David Mowat CR officiating.
