    WELLESLEY, July 11-One of Wellesley's oldest residents in the person of Sylvester Schopp died yesterday at the home of his son in-law, John Hohl, at the age of 91 years. Death was due to old age.

    The deceased was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church of this village. His wife predeceased him six months ago.

    He is survived by two sons, John of Laingan, Sask., and Charles at home. Also one daughter. Mrs. John Hohl of Wellesley.
    Funeral arrangements had not been made at press time.

    Charles W. Schopp

    Following a brief illness, Charles William Schopp, 73, of Wellesley, died at St. Mary's Hospital, yesterday. The son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Sylvester Sehopp, he was born at Wellesley, Feb. 25, 1874.

    Surviving is one sister, Mrs. John (Elmina) Hohl, Waterloo.

    The body is resting at the Ratz Bechtel Funeral Home, where the funeral service will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. Interment will be made in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery, Rev. A. W. Lotz, will officiate.

    George F. Schopp

    George Frederick Schopp, third child of Sylvester and Katherine Schopp, was born at Wellesly, Ontario, Canada, on January 21, 1876.
    When 22 years of age he immigrated from Canada to the United States in 1898, coming to Milford, Neb. There he entered the holy state of matrimony with Miss Caroline Schlesselmann. After a period of two years his wife died, and was buried at Milford. On April 12, 1905, he married a second time, taking Mrs. Mary Williams of Milford as his wife.

    God blessed them with six children, five boys and one girl. In 1913 Mr. Schopp and family moved to Plymouth, where he engaged in the buy ing of cream for the Beatrice Creamery Co. In 1922 he joined the German Evangeli cal Friedens church at Ply mouth.

    For the past four years his health has been gradually failing and on Tuesday, Oct. 18, while at Fairbury he suf fered a stroke of apoplexy and became unconscious. He was attended by a physician, and later removed to the Tay lor hospital at Fairbury, where he passed away at 4:35 p. m.

    Besides his wife he leaves to mourn his loss, six children, Ivan, Alvin, Elmina, Irvin, John and Charles Schopp; one sister, Mrs. Elmina Hohl; two brothers, John and Charles Schopp; and his aged parents, Mr. and Mrs. S. Schopp, living in Canada. He reached the age of 51 years, 8 months and 27 days.

    Funeral services were held at the home at 1:30 p. m., Friday afternoon, and at the Ev. Friedens church at 2 p. m., Rev. G. Bode conduct ing the services. The Masonic lodge of DeWitt, of which Mr. Schopp was a member, also conducted a service at the grave, and he was laid to rest in the Plymouth cemetery.

    Mrs. John (Elmina) Hohl, 73, died today at her home, 79 Norman St., Waterloo, after four years illness.

    She was born in Wellesley Sept. 3, 1887, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Sylvester Shopp, and farmed in the district with her husband until 18 years ago. They had lived in their present Home for 13 years.

    Mrs. Hohl was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Wellesley.

    Surviving are her husband, two daughters, Mrs. Howard (Esther) Doering of Wellesley and Mrs. Earl (Norma) Doering of Phillips burg and one grandchild.

    The body will be at the Futher Funeral Home, Wellesley, until 1:30 p.m. Thursday when removal will be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Wellesley, for scr. vice at 3 p.m. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery.
