    Notes:

    Mrs. Clara B. Doerr, 68, of 772 Queen St. South, died in K-W Hospital today following a brief illness. Born in Drumbo, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Zinkann, she had been a resident of Kitchener for the past 45 years. A member of Trinity United Church, Mrs. Doerr was actively engaged in the church's women's association. Surviving are two sons, Ralph and Woodrow, both of New Hamburg, two daughters, Mrs. Lewis (Marville) Hahn of New Hamburg, Mrs. Lloyd (Phyllis) Current of Kitchener, three brothers, Elias of Bright, Charles of Drumbo, Arthur of Preston, two sisters, Mrs. Wesley McFarlane of New Hamburg, Mrs. Albert Schmidt of Baden and eight grandchildren. Her husband, Elmer, one sister and two brothers predeceased her. The body is at Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home until noon Wednesday when removal will be made to Trinity Untied Memorial Chapel for service at 2.30 p.m., Rev. O. P. Hossie conducting. Friends are asked to pay their respects prior to the service. Internment will be at Mount Hope Cemetery.

    Arthur Zinken, 72, of 174 Wellington St. N., died Tuesday at St. Mary's Hospital after a brief Illness.

    He was born in Blenheim Township near Drumbo, June 25, 1893, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Philip Zinken. He resided in the Twin Cities for more than 50 years and was a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church. He was formerly employed at the Savage Shoe Co.

    Surviving are four sons, Ross of Waterloo, Kenneth of Red Deer, Alta., and Richard and Gerald, both of Kitchener; one sister, Mrs. Wesley (Eva) McFarlane of New Hamburg, and 16 grandchildren.

    He was predeceased by four brothers and three sisters.

    The body is at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home where Rev. F. W. Zinck will conduct the funeral Friday at 2 p.m.

    Doerr, Woodrow E. (Woody) - In his 77th year, of 199 Hope St. E., Tavistock, died Saturday, June 10, 1995, at Stratford General Hospital, following a brief illness. Formerly of New Hamburg, he was born in Kitchener, a son of the late Elmer and Clara (Zinken) Doerr. He was a member of Zion United Church, New Hamburg and had retired from Stanley Works, New Hamburg. Woody was a member of the Wilmot Township Committee of Adjustment, an active member of the New Hamburg Lawn Bowling Club, a member of Foxwood Golf Club and past president and life member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch No. 532, New Hamburg. Woody has served in the Canadian Armed Forces during the Second World War. Beloved husband of Katherine (Kaye) Luckhart who predeceased him January 27, 1993. Loving father of Terry and her husband Gary Pfaff of Millgrove, Gaye Ellen Dahl of Kitchener, Cathy and her husband Dale Winhold of Stratford; dear grandfather to Chris and Todd, Richard and David, Mark and Scott. Fondly remembered by his in-laws, Ruth Luckhart of New Hamburg, Rex and Marj Luckhart of Chesley, Mae Doerr and Lewis Hahn, both of Kitchener, Bill Templin of Mississauga; special niece, Laura Templin of Toronto; his many nieces and nephews and cherished friends.     It is with great sadness and heavy hearts we announce the passing of our 'Jerry', peacefully in his sleep at Westhill Retirement Home on Friday June 19, 2015.

    Lovingly remembered by his wife Irma, son Daniel and his wife Carolyn, daughter Lisa and her husband Bruce Chiasson, grandchildren Courtney, Jon and Ben Zinken, Brittani, Landon and Stephanie Sellers and Alisia and Justina Zinken. Brother to Richard and his wife Pat.

    Jerry lived his life to the fullest. He was a successful salesman at CN Weber for 30 plus years. Vibrant in every way, he captured the hearts of many!
    His sense of humour and passion for life will live on in all of those who knew him.
