    WETTLAUFER, Mrs. Irene Elizabeth - On Tuesday, July 14, 1992, at K-W Hospital, Kitchener, Irene Wettlaufer, of Philipsburg.

    She was born in Wilmot Township 81 years ago, a daughter of the late Nelson and Alma (nee Heipel) Hoerle. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Philipsburg, where she had been a member of the ELW.

    Beloved wife of Reuben C. Wettlaufer who predeceased her January 10, 1977. Lovingly remembered by her children, Helen and her husband Jack Pearson, Norm and his wife Eileen, Jim and his wife Lyla, all of New Hamburg; dear sister of Martha and her husband Clarence Wegford, Weybourne Hoerle and his wife Esther, all of Philipsburg, Charlotte (Mrs. George Wegfahrt) of Baden, Isobel and her husband Bruce Compass of Waterloo, Edgar and his wife Marilyn of New Hamburg. Sadly missed by eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

    Friends and relatives may call at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron St., New Hamburg, after 7 pm on Wednesday and until Friday, July 17y, 1992 at noon, when transfer will be made to Zion Lutheran Church, Philipsburg, for the service at 2 pm, with rev. R. Leonard officiating. Burial to follow in the church cemetery.

    WETTLAUFER, Norm - Passed away, suddenly, on Thursday, June 19, 2008 at St. Mary's General Hospital, Kitchener. He was born in Wilmot Township 72 years ago, a son of the late Reuben and Irene (Hoerle) Wettlaufer. Norm resided in New Hamburg and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, New Hamburg. He retired from Hutton Transport after 32 years of service and drove truck at Erb Transport part time. Norm participated in Morningside Activities and was a member and Marshall at Tavistock Golf Club, Norm enjoyed watching horse racing, hockey and baseball on T.V. and also enjoyed the winter months at his home in Sunnybreeze Harbor, Florida. Loving partner of Jean Cook. Dear brother of Jim and his wife Lyla Wettlaufer of Witmer Rd., Petersburg. Also missed by Jean's family, Ron and Gwen Cook of New Hamburg, Pat and Barry Fisher of Baden, Greg and Donna Cook of Canmore, Alberta, Cathy and Pat Marchione of Pickering and eight grandchildren. Ever remembered by the Kipfer family, Ruth and David Steinmann of Bleams Rd., New Hamburg, Wally and Myrna Gerber of Stratford, Emmalene and Bill Bell of Shakespeare, Irma Kipfer, Ethel and Ken Innes all of Stratford. Fondly remembered by a number of aunts, nieces and nephews. Norm was predeceased by his wife, Eileen Kipfer (1995); his sister, Helen Pearson and her husband Jack; brothers-in-law, Laverne Kipfer and Delford Gerber. Friends and relatives may call at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home , 291 Huron St., New Hamburg Saturday 7-9 p.m., Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Transfer will be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, New Hamburg on Monday, June 23, 2008 at 10 a.m. followed by the funeral service at 11 a.m. with Pastor Andre Lavergne and Pastor Anne Anderson presiding. Burial to follow in Riverside Cemetery, New Hamburg. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church (Kitchen) or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario.

    WETTLAUFER, James (Jim) Passed away on Friday, April 20, 2012 at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener. Jim resided in New Hamburg. He was born 68 years ago in Wilmot Township and was the son of the late Reuben and Irene (Hoerle) Wettlaufer. Beloved husband of Lyla (Schul) Wettlaufer whom he married May 14, 1966. Dear father of Crista Coughlin of Calgary, AB, Steve Wettlaufer and fiancé Amanda Hanna of Cambridge, Bryan and wife Anesa Wettlaufer of New Hamburg. Loving papa of Riley, Iris and Aaron. Missed by his brother-in-law Dennis and wife Jan Schul of Ethel and sister-in-law Marlene Henrich of Ayr. Also remembered by Steve Coughlin, Jean Cook, a number of nephews, many good friends and his dog Oreo. Jim was predeceased by his sister Helen and husband Jack Pearson and brother Norm and wife Eileen Wettlaufer. Jim was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, New Hamburg, life member of the New Hamburg Optimist Club, member of Moparfest and participated many years with the Wilmot Agricultural Society and New Hamburg Minor Hockey. He enjoyed watching hockey, golf and Nascar. Family and friends may call at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home , 291 Huron Street, New Hamburg today (Monday) 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service to celebrate Jim's life will take place on Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, New Hamburg with Pastor Anne Anderson and Pastor Andre Lavergne officiating. Interment to follow in Riverside Cemetery, New Hamburg. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the New Hamburg Optimist Club, Trinity Lutheran Church or charity of one's choice.
