    Wilhelm, Doreen Elaine (nee MacKichan)

Doreen's blessed life ended on Wednesday, April 12, 2017.

She was "my beautiful Doreen" to Eldon, her dear husband, who passed just six months ago. Theirs was a love story of local young man meets new school teacher. Out of their union came six children: Nancy Wilhelm-Morden (Ted Morden), Laurie Rennie (Kim), Jeff Wilhelm (Patti), Jim Wilhelm (Michelle), Dianne Rath (Andy) and Dave Wilhelm (Diana). As the years passed, her family grew to 16 grandchildren Sarah, Jessie Rose, Megan, Matthew, Jenni, Katie, Robb, Tiffany, Jacob, Mackenzie, Karly, Kyle, Aaron, Nate, Joelle and Seth and 4 great grandchildren Paisley, Evelyn, Luther and Nash. She was the sister of June (Gord) Park, Carol (Jim) Grover and Irene (John) Milner.

Doreen was the "heart and soul" of her large family. For decades, she was a member and President of United Church Women. To her friends, she was loyal and warm. For all of us, her passing is a monumental loss.

Doreen's family will receive relatives and friends from 2-4 and 7-9 pm on Thursday April 20, 2017 and from 10-10:45 am on Friday April 21, 2017 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Funeral Service in the Chapel on Friday, April 21, 2017 at 11 am. Reception to follow. Interment at Woodland Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Alzheimer Society or Silver Lake United Church Camp would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
