    Roy M. Baxter of RR 3, Bright, passed away Saturday evening at his home following a short illness. He was in his 85th year. He was born and lived all his life on the home farm, 10th concession of Blenheim Township. He was a son of the late James Baxter and Margaret Hall. He farmed all his life, retiring a few years ago. His son, Gordon, now operates the farm, being the fourth generation to do so. Mr. Baxter was a member of the Drumbo United Church. He was married in June 1910, at Breslau to the former Sarah Beulah Dressler, who survives him. Also surviving, besides wife and son Gordon, is a second son, Frank W., RR 2, Paris; a daughter, Miss Marjorie Baxter, at home; two brothers, Leslie of Winnipeg and Elmer of Vancouver; also two granddaughters and a great-granddaughter. Funeral service was held from the Glendinning Funeral Home, Plattsville, on Tuesday afternoon. Mr. Percy Brown of Drumbo United Church officiated. Pallbearers were Homer Meacham, Elston Pipe, John Campbell, Stanley Lillico, Allan Ross and Roland Heldmann. Flower bearers were Wallace Dance and Roy Campbell. Interment in Ayr Cemetery.

    Marjorie Isabel Baxter, a life-long resident of Blenheim Township, passed away at Credit Valley Hospital in Mississauga on Monday, July 10, 1995. She was 81. Born in Woodstock, she was a daughter of the late Roy Baxter and Sarah Dessler. She lived and farmed with her brother Gordon on the 10th Concession of Blenheim, RR 3, Bright, until retiring to Plattsville in 1984. Miss Baxter was a faithful member of Plattsville Missionary Church. "Aunt Marj" will be lovingly remembered for her kind heart and wonderful sense of humour by her family and many friends. Survived by a brother Frank and his wife Ruth of Paisley; nieces Patricia and her husband John McBride of Cambridge; Joan and her husband Ted LaCroix of Kitchener; and extended family Ron and Lois Byers and Mary Lawson, all of Oakville. Predeceased by a brother Gordon. Resting at Glendinning Funeral Home, Plattsville, today (Wed.) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and until noon Thursday. Transfer will then be made to Plattsville Missionary Church for service at 2 p.m. Pastor Ron Byers will officiate, assisted by Pastor Lloyd Fretz. Interment Ayr Cemetery.

    Gordon James Baxter of RR 3, Bright passed away in St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener on Sunday, December 2nd. He was in his 66th year. Born in Blenheim Township, he was a son of the late Roy Baxter and Sarah Dessler. He was a life-long resident of the township and farmed the family farm on the 10th concession. Survived by a sister Marjorie Baxter of RR 3, Bright; a brother Frank of Paisley; and two nieces. Rested at the Rumble Funeral Home, Princeton, where service will be held today (Wednesday) at I:00 p.m. Rev. Charles Seed, assisted by Rev. Ron Byers, will officiate. Interment in Ayr Cemetery.
