Passing of a Pioneer - Every year the number of pioneer settlers in this part of the country is reduced by the inroads Death makes upon their ranks. Today we have to chronicle the demise of an old landmark of the Cedar Creek district in the person of Mr. John Henderson, who passed away on Saturday morning, in his 73rd year. Last summer Mr. Henderson suffered a slight paralytic stroke, but was seriously ill for only about a week. He was born on the farm on which he died, was widely known and highly respected as a good neighbor, and industrious farmer. Of a quiet and unassuming disposition, he made many fast friends who will regret his passing. In religion he was a Presbyterian and in politics a Reformer. His wife predeceased him 13 years. the surviving members of the family are: Janet (Mrs. Wm. J. Simpson, Washington; Mrs. Frank Creeden, New Westminster, B.C.; Mrs. Wm. R. McRae, Champion, Alberta; Thomas, Lajeiv(?), Sask.; Barbara in Brantford; Beatrice at Galt, Catherine, Tessie and James at home. The funeral took place on Monday, interment being made in the Ayr Cemetery. The services were conducted by Rev. J. Kier Fraser, pastor of Knox Church, Galt. The pallbearers were Messrs.
