    SHERK, Joan Sanderson (nee McAllister) After a brief illness, surrounded by her 3 girls, on Tuesday, May 7, 2013, a longtime resident of Ayr, in her 81st year. Joan was born and raised in Weston, Ontario and moved to Ayr in the 1950's. Beloved wife to the late Raymond "Tyke" (2001); loved mum to Craig Wylie, Sandi Sherk (Jim Black), Jan Jackson (Jim) and Barb Black; cherished gramma to Crystal, Rachel and Aiden and 2 great-grandchildren; dear sister to John McAllister and Barbara Moore (Lloyd). She is survived by several in-laws and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, John and Elizabeth McAllister, sister Betty Ann Beattie and brother, Neil McAllister. Friends may call at the Ayr Chapel, Wm. Kipp Funeral Home, 183 Northumberland St., Ayr on Friday, May 10, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Services will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday, May 11, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Terry Dunseith of Knox United Church officiating. Interment Ayr Cemetery. Donations to the SPCA or Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
