    Mrs. Robert Campbell - Mrs. Robert Campbell, Manley Street, Ayr, passed away in Willett Hospital, Paris, on Monday evening following a lengthy illness. She was in her 73rd year. Born in North Dumfries Township, she was the former Mary Deans, daughter of the late Thomas Deans and Mary Renwick. She was a member of Knox United Church, Ayr, and the U.C.W. Surviving besides her husband are three daughters, Mrs. Robert E. (Dorothy) Kennedy of RR 2, Paris, Mrs. John (Margaret) Hallman of Galt and Mrs. Gerald (Elinor) Hawes of Ayr; a sister, Mrs. Bessie Robinson of Hamilton. Also surviving are nine grandchildren. Funeral service will be conducted from the Little Funeral Home, Galt, by Rev, D. E. Willis of Knox United Church, Ayr, at 2 p.m. Thursday. Internment in Ayr cemetery.

    Mrs. Dorothy Kennedy

    Dorothy Janet Kennedy, long-time resident of the Brant-Oxford Townline, RR 2, Paris, died peacefully at her home on Saturday, December 7th, 1996. She was 71 years of age. Born at Galt, she was the daughter of Mary (Deans) and Robert Campbell of North Dumfries Township. Mrs. Kennedy was a member of the Blenheim-Dumfries Farm Women's Club, the Ayr Seniors and a former member of the Drumbo Agricultural Society. She was predeceased by her husband Robert E. Kennedy in 1993. Surviving are her three children, Paul and Anne both at home, and Thomas and his wife Carol of Kitchener; one granddaughter Mary Elizabeth; and two sisters Eleanor and Margaret. Funeral service was held at the Wm. Kipp Funeral Home Ayr Chapel on Tuesday, December 10th. Rev. Fred Hagle of Knox United Church officiated. Cremation will be followed by interment in Ayr Cemetery.

    HAWES, Mary "Eleanor" - Unexpectedly, at her home in Cambridge, on Friday, August 8, 2008, in her 73rd year. Loving and devoted wife of Gerry. Cherished mother of Brad, Wade, and Kelly and her husband John Riddell. Special grandmother of Blair, Stephen, Sarah, Reid and Adam. Predeceased by her sisters, Dorothy Kennedy and Margaret Hallman. Eleanor retired from Canada Trust in Galt after 30 years of service. At Eleanor's request, cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or funeral service. A private family interment will take place at the Ayr Cemetery at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Cambridge Humane Society would be appreciated by the family.     RIDDELL, Blair Kennedy With fishing rod in hand, passed away tragically on August 19, 2012, at the age of 26. Beloved son of John and Kelly (nee Hawes). Loving brother of Stephen and his four legged brother Jet. Dear grandson of John Riddell Sr. and Gerry Hawes (Barbara). Forever remembered by his aunts Diane Wilkinson and Carol Moore (Don); uncles Brad Hawes and Wade Hawes and by his cousins Chris, Cam, Brent, Courtney, Sarah, Reid and Adam. Predeceased by his grandmothers Shirley Riddell and Eleanor Hawes and his uncle Lorne Wilkinson. Blair was very athletic and enjoyed many activities. In his earlier years, he played hockey for the Cambridge Hawks as a defenseman but his true love was football; he was a huge football fan and enjoyed playing the game as well as watching. Playing for the Southwood Sabres in high school and cheering on his favourite teams, the Florida State Seminoles and the New Orleans Saints. Blair liked to work on cars, but most of all loved fishing with his two best friends 'T' Trevor and Zack. Cremation has taken place. Memorial Visitation will be held at Corbett Funeral Home , 95 Dundas Street N., Cambridge on Thursday, August 23, 2012 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held at Knox's Galt Presbyterian Church, Queen's Square, Cambridge on Friday, August 24, 2012 at 11 a.m. As expressions of sympathy, donations made to the Cambridge and District Humane Society would be appreciated by the family.
