    Mrs. William Scott

    The funeral of the late Mrs. William Scott, whose death occurred on Thursday, took place on Monday afternoon from her late residence on the town line to the Ayr Cemetery. There was a large attendance, and the floral tributes were many and beautiful. The services were in charge of Rev. John Richardson of Drumbo, while the pallbearers were: Roy Cassady, Walter Parnell, John Morrison, Fred Wells, John Taylor and B. Rupert.

    Mrs. Roy Kennedy Passes

    The death occurred in Willett Hospital, Paris, on Monday, November 8, of Mrs. Mary Pearl (Maimie) Kennedy of Paris in her 75th year. Born in Blenheim Township, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Scott, she had lived most of her life in the Richwood area. She moved to Burford 12 years ago and had spent the last three and a half years in Paris. Surviving are her husband, William Roy Kennedy of 74 William St., Paris; two sons, Rev. Harold A. Kennedy of Qualicum Beach. B.C., and Howard W. Kennedy of Cooksville; one daughter, Mrs. Stanley (Elizabeth Jean) Hutchinson of Paris; one brother, Alexander Scott of Drumbo, and nine grandchildren. Her first husband, Frederick Warren Kennedy, predeceased her. Resting at Cumming and Glaves Funeral Home, 13 Banfield St., Paris, where funeral service was held today (Wednesday) at 2 p.m. Interment was made in Ayr Cemetery. Rev. Dr. Andrew T. Denholm officiated. Pallbearers were: Murray Scott, Cameron Rupert, Jack Taylor, John Pannibaker, Bill Scott and Marshall Daniel.

    Demise of Miss Scott - The community has been rather sorely afflicted during the past week by an unusually large number of deaths. To the exceptionally long list we have to add that of Miss Lois Jane Scott, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Scott, lot 1, con. 4, Blenheim, who passed away Sunday forenoon after a lingering illness, aged 24 years. The deceased young ? was beloved by a wide circle ? all of whom deeply regret her early demise. Besides her parents she is survived by a sister, (Mrs. Fred Kennedy) and brother, Alexander, Mr. T.O. Scott, Ayr, is an uncle. The funeral on Tuesday afternoon to Ayr cemetery was largely attended.

    W. A. (Allie) Scott Passes - A life-long Blenheim Township resident William Alexander (Allie) Scott of RR 2, Drumbo, passed away at Willett Hospital, Paris, on Tuesday, July 1st. He was 80. A son of the late William A. Scott and Elizabeth McLeur, Mr. Scott was born and lived all his life on the Scott farm, townline. He was a retired farmer and member of Knox United Church, Ayr. Surviving are his wife, the former Laura Smith; a daughter Mrs. Frederick (Muriel) Struckett of London; two sons William A. of RR 2 Drumbo and Donald of Ridgewood, New Jersey; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Predeceased by two sisters, Mrs. Fred (Mammie) Kennedy and Miss Lloy Scott. Resting at Wm. Kipp Funeral Home, Paris, today (Thurs.), afternoon and evening. Funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home by Rev. D. E. Willis of Ayr at 2 p.m. Friday. Interment in Ayr Cemetery.
