    Mrs. Lyon Findlater

    The death occurred at Victoria Nursing Home, Ayr, on Tuesday of well-known Ayr resident, Mrs. Lyon Findlater, in her 82nd year. The former Mary (Mamie) Birley, she was born on the Paris Plains, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Birley. Following her marriage to the late Lyon Findlater, they farmed near, Wrigley's Corners for many years before moving to Ayr 18 years ago, where she had resided since. The late Mrs. Findlater was a valued member of Knox United Church and the Ayr Women's Institute. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Henry Fetter (Mary) and seven grandchildren of RR 2, Galt. The Funeral - Resting at the W. O. Ball Funeral Home, Ayr, where the funeral will be held on Thursday at 2 p.m., with interment in Ayr Cemetery.

    David Fetter

    David George "Quincey" Fetter passed away at his home on Piper Street, Ayr, on Sunday, March 29th. He was in his 42nd year. A son of Henry Fetter and Mary Findlater, he was born in Galt, and had lived in Ayr nearly all his life. David was a long-time employee of Premier Spring in Ayr. He was an avid supporter of Ayr sporting teams and had played for Ayr Tire in the local slopitch ball league. Besides his parents he is survived by brothers Jim and his wife Debbie, Bill and his wife Jessie, all of Cambridge, Rob and his wife Barb of Hamilton, Tim (Gus) of Ayr; sisters Catherine and her husband Mery Roswell of Ayr, Nancy Hussik and friend Joe Cudney of Kitchener; also nine nephews and nieces. Cremation. A memorial service will be held at the Wm. Kipp Funeral Home, Ayr Chapel, today (Wed.) at 7 p.m. Rev. James Young of Knox United Church, Ayr, will officiate. Interment Ayr Cemetery.
