    Robert (Bob) E. Kennedy

    Robert E. Kennedy of South Dumfries Township, died peacefully at Penmarvian Retirement Lodge, Paris, on Monday, March 15, 1993. He was in his 78th year. Born in South Dumfries, Mr. Kennedy was a son of John Alexander Kennedy and Mary Amelia Maud Mighton and farmed his entire life on the Kennedy homestead, townline, RR 2, Paris. Mr. Kennedy was a member of Ayr Seniors Club. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy J. Campbell; his children, Paul and Anne, who both live at home, and Thomas John and his wife, Carol of Kitchener; two grandchildren; sisters, Mary (Mrs. Stuart Cowan) of Drumbo and Helen (Mrs. Wallace Stewart) of Kenora and by brother, John of British Columbia. He was predeceased by his brother, Warren and sister, Betty. Resting at the Ayr Chapel, Wm. "Kipp Funeral Home today (Wed.) from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at the funeral home Thursday at 2: 00 p.m. with Rev. James Young of Knox United Church, Ayr, officiating. Cremation with interment of remains in Ayr Cemetery. Honourary pallbearers will beJohn T. Kennedy, Douglas Perry, Bob Kyle and Ken Fraser.

    Two Members of Kennedy Family Pass

    The community was saddened this past week by two deaths in a well-known Richwood district family only a few days apart.

    Elizabeth Margaret Kennedy

    On Saturday the tragic death occurred of Elizabeth Margaret Kennedy, daughter of John A. Kennedy and the late Mrs. Kennedy. Miss Kennedy, who was in her 40th year, was born on the parental farm and spent her early years there. After graduating as a school teacher, she held positions at several schools, including Sarnia, Ottawa and the past term near Midland. Surviving, besides her father, are two sisters, Mrs. Stuart (Mary) Cowan and Mrs. Wallace (Helen) Stewart; and three brothers, Robert, Warren and John Kennedy.
