John Wallace Elmes Passes

A lifelong resident of Blenheim Township, John Wallace Elmes, passed away in Kitchener-Waterloo Hospital on Friday, December 22nd. He was in his 94th year. Mr. Elmes was born in Blenheim Township, a son of the late Joseph Elmes and Margaret Rupert. For the past 60 years he had resided on a farm on the 7th Concession, RR 1, Drumbo. He was predeceased by his wife the former Ina Hall in 1966, also a brother Roy. Surviving are a daughter Dorothy and son Ross, both at home. Funeral and committal service were conducted from the William Kipp Funeral Home, Paris, on Sunday. Rev. D. E. Willis of Ayr officiated. Interment in Ayr Cemetery.

Dorothy Elmes

Frances Dorothy Elmes of RR 1, Drumbo, passed away at Willett Hospital, Paris, on Monday, March 22nd, 1999. She was in her 73rd year. Born in Blenheim Township, she was a daughter of Wallace Elmes and Ina Hall. Miss Elmes resided at RR 1, Drumbo all her life. She was a member of Knox United Church, Ayr and the church Friendship Group; the Blenheim-Dumfries Farm Women's Group; Drumbo Fair Board; Ayr Horticultural Society and the Townline Community Club. Surviving is a brother Ross of RR 1, Drumbo. Resting at the Ayr Chapel of the Wm. Kipp Funeral Home where visitation will be held from 2 to 3 p.m. on Thursday, followed by funeral service at 3 p.m. Interment Ayr Cemetery.
