    Death of Walter Patterson

The death took place at Toronto on Monday of Walter C. Patterson, second son of Mr. Wm. Patterson, Walter St., Ayr, aged 35 years. The deceased had been ill for some months with Bright's Disease, and his end was not unexpected. He was a millwright by trade and a first-class mechanic. For seventeen years he held a prominent position with the Wm. And J. G. Greey firm, Toronto, who valued his services very highly and showed their appreciation by deeds of kindness all through his illness. A widow (nee Miss Eva Johnston of Toronto) survives, also his father, two brothers and three sisters. The funeral took place yesterday afternoon to Ayr cemetery, the services being conducted by Rev. D. I. Ellison. The pallbearers were: Messrs. Robt. Anderson, Ed Whitson, Robt. Scott, John Allan, Chisholm Scott and Thos. Johnston. Among the friends from a distance who were here attending the funeral were: Rev. and Mrs. David Carswell of McKillop; Mr. Wm. Patterson, Belleville; Mr. and Mrs. Robt. Patterson, Detroit, Mich., and Mr. Thos. Johnston, Toronto.
