    McLAREN - In Drumbo, on Sunday morning, June 8th, 1924, James McLaren, in his 89th year. The deceased was born in Puslinch and moved to Blenheim, at Drumbo, 38 years ago. He was an ardent admirer and grower of flowers, taking great pride in the cultivation of dahlias. In politics he was a Liberal and in religion a Presbyterian, being a member Drurnbo church. Mrs. McLaren passed away some 17 years ago. The surviving members of the family are: K. S. and Catherine at home ; Mrs. Walter Lillico, Blenheim Mrs. James Little, Woolsey, Sask.; Rev. P. J., Toronto, and J. D., Hollywood, Cali. Mr. E. K. McIntyre, the Misses McIntyre and Mrs. Wm. Nicoll, Ayr, are nephew and nieces, respectively. The funeral took place on Tuesday afternoon, when interment was made in the Ayr cemetery.

    Miss Catherine Ann McLaren

    The funeral took place to Ayr Cemetery on Tuesday afternoon of Miss Catherine Ann McLaren of Drumbo, whose death occurred on Saturday. Miss McLaren was a life-long resident of the district. Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Walter Lillico, Blenheim township, and Mrs. James Little, Drumbo, and two brothers, Kenneth S. McLaren. Drumbo, and James McLaren, Hollywood, Calif.

    Kenneth S. McLaren, a well-known Drumbo district farmer, died at his home on the Seventh Concession of Blenheim on Tuesday evening, December 12, in his 82nd year.

    Mr. McLaren had been an active farmer most of his life. A son of the late Mr. and Mrs. James McLaren, he was born at Puslinch where he received his education. He was a member of Willis United Church, Drumbo, and for a number of years sang in the choir. An ardent sports fan, he took great enjoyment in curling.

    Surviving are his wife, the former Annabell Harmer; three sons: James of the Ninth Concession, David of Tillsonburg and Alex on the homestead. Also surviving are four granddaughters, two sisters: Mrs. Mary Lillico of the Ninth Concession and Mrs. Helen Little of Drumbo, and one brother, James McLaren, in California.

    Funeral service was held Friday afternoon at Wilson's Funeral Chapel Drumbo, interment being made in Ayr Cemetery.

    Alex McLaren - Alfred Alexander McLaren of Kitchener, formerly of Drumbo passed away Thursday, December 7, 2000 at the St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener. He was in his 85th year. Born in Drumbo, he was a son of Kenneth McLaren and Annabelle Harmer. For many years Alex and his wife farmed at Drumbo. Subsequently they moved to a poultry farm east of Paris which they operated for the Dance family. Loving husband of the late Lorene Cross who predeceased him February 28, 1998. Dear father of Mary McLaren and husband Richard Burton of Ottawa and Margaret and her husband George Borenovich of Waterloo. Sadly missed by his grandchildren Aidan, Marc, Siobhan and Stuart. Predeceased by brothers James and David McLaren. Alex was a member of Willis United Church, Drumbo and was a Past President of the Drumbo Agricultural Society. Relatives and friends were received at the Glendinning Funeral Home, Plattsville on Friday, Dec. 8th. Funeral service was conducted at the Willis United Church Sat., Dec. 9th at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Carol Ferguson-Kirby officiated. Spring interment in Ayr Cemetery.
