    George Pitcher

    George Pitcher died at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener, on Saturday, Oct. 14th, 1995. He was born in Marden, Ont. on August 14th, 1911 and was raised in Ayr, where he served his apprenticeship and then graduated from the Ontario College of Pharmacy in 1939. He practised in Toronto and Kitchener before retirement. He was a member of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, the Retired Business and Professional Men's Club and the Mellow Lake Fishing Club. Beloved husband of Betty (Easton); dear father of George of England, Mary and her husband Charlie Battel of St. Catharines, Hugh and his wife Susi of Kitchener; much loved grandfather of Carrie, Matthew, Jesse and Megan. Predeceased by his parents and two brothers, James and Hubert. Rested at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, Kitchener until Wednesday at 1: 30, when the funeral service was conducted from St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Covenant Chapel, with Rev. Dr. Grant MacDonald officiating. Interment followed in the Ayr Cemetery.

Mary (daughter of Thomas Easton and Olive Jessie King) was born 21 Nov 1912, Ayr, North Dumfries Twp., Waterloo Region, Ontario, Canada; died 4 Mar 2000, Kitchener, Waterloo Region, Ontario, Canada; was buried 8 Mar 2000, Ayr Cemetery, Ayr, Waterloo Region, Ontario, Canada.
