HENRY RAHN
PRESTON, July 13. Henry Rahn, 72, for the past 60 years a resident of Preston, died at his home yesterday afternoon. He had been in poor health for some months. Born in Germany, the late Mr. Rahn came to Canada and settled in the Preston district. For some 25 years he was employed by Peter Bernhardt and later, for a time, at the plant now known as the Schmidt Furniture Co. He was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran church. Surviving are his wife, three daughters, Mrs. Fred Denham, Mrs. Karl Homuth and Mrs. John Boehmer and two sons, Harry and Alfred, all of Preston. The funeral will take place on Thursday afternoon, from the residence, 1579 King street, at 2.30 o'clock. Interment will be made in the Preston Cemetery.

DENHAM, Wilbur Thomas - Passed away, at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, on Thursday, July 31, 2008, in his 84th year. He had lived all his life in the family home in Preston, except for his Second World War service when he served overseas and with the Occupation Army. He retired in 1983 after many years with Brewers Warehouse in Kitchener. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Preston Branch 126 and in his earlier years was active in their many sports activities. He was a member of St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church. Wib is sadly missed by his brother, Harry and his wife Marnie of Cambridge. He is lovingly remembered by Harry and Marnie's children, John and his family in Sechelt, BC, Susan and her family in Seattle, Washington and Toronto, and Jane and her family in Comox, BC. He was predeceased by his mother, Roseline (Rahn) and father, Frederick Denham, and sister Marjorie. GORDON EDWARD RAHN
Funeral for Gordon Edward Rahn, Guelph Ave. who died yesterday at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital will be held Sunday at 2: 30 p.m. at St.. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Queen St.
Mr. Rahn was 55. He was born in Preston and lived all his life in the area. He was known in the plumbing business for many years. Mr. Rahn served in the Royal Canadian Air Force in the Second World War and was a member of the K-40 Club, the Cambridge Homebuilders' Association and St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church. He was predeceased by his father, Harry.
Surviving are his mother Mrs. Margaret Rahn; his wife, the former Audrey Seigle; sons Richard, David and Michael; brothers Robert and James of Preston and two grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Nelson Funeral Home, Franklin Boulevard this evening from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Interment will take place in New Hope Cemetery. The family would appreciate ,donations to the building fund of Andrew's Presbyterian Church; expressions of sympathy.
