    Menno L. Weber," was born March 29th, 1860. He was first married to Maggie Doerbecker and after her decease to Christina Doerbecker. He resides a little north of St. Jacobs where he is engaged in farming. His family consists of four children, namely: Maggie of first wife, and Bella, May and Lydia of second wife."

    MENNO L. WEBER Menno L. Weber, one of St. Jacobs' best-known citizens, died Friday morning, April 9th. He was 83. Mr. Weber retired several years ago after operating a flour, feed and coal business here for many years. Born near St. Jacobs, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Weber. He was the last surviving member of his family. His wife died in 1941. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Ralph Brubacher, Kitchener, and 13 grandchildren. One grandchild Sgt.-Gunner Lloyd Ernst, has been missing overseas since last November. The funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Sunday at his late residence, followed by service in Calvary Evangelical Church. Interment was made in Calvary Evangelical Church cemetery. Rev. H. E. Roppel officiated.

    The death occurred at Willoughby yesterday of Margaret Ernst, beloved wife of Rev. N. Ernst. Deceased was well-known thruout this district. The funeral will take place from the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. M. L. Weber, St. Jacobs on Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Services will be held at the St. Jacobs Evangelical church. Burial will follow in the St. Jacobs cemetery.
