Idella passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 26, 2018 at Nithview Home, New Hamburg at the age of 100. Idella was the last surviving member of her family. She was born May 20, 1918 in North Easthope Twp. Survived by daughter Beth and her husband Murray Schlueter, daughter-in-law Carolyn Hertzberger, grandchildren Karen Pilecki and Mike Tait, Krista and Paul Doupe, Blaine and Marie Hertzberger and Brett and Shauna Hertzberger and great grandchildren Julia Pilecki and Josh Pettigrew, Brianne, Dylan and Aurora Hertzberger.
Predeceased by her husband Jim Hertzberger (1994), and her son Robert (1996), her parents Daniel and Oliva Seyler and her sisters Irene Seyler and Sally Jantzi, brothers Milton, Gordon, Elmer, Allan, Oliver, Lorne, Laverne and Norman.

HERTZBERGER, Robert - At St. Mary's Hospital on Saturday, Nov. 3, 1996, age 51 years, of Kitchener.

Bob was born in Kitchener. He was an active member of St. James Lutheran Church in Mannheim and employed with Wackenhut of Canada Ltd.

Beloved husband of Carolyn Eydt; dear father of Blaine and Brett, both at home. Bob is lovingly remembered by his mother, Idella Hertzberger of Waterloo; a sister, Beth and her husband Murray Schlueter of Gads Hill; his mother-in-law, Alma Eydt of RR 1, Millbank; a sister and brother-in-law, Valerie and her husband Jack Baker of Fergus and Graham of RR 1, Millbank. Uncle to Trina and Troy Baker, Krista Doupe and Karen Pilecki.

He was predeceased by his father. James Hertzberger and his father-in-law, Gordon Eydt.

Bob's family will receive friends at the Edward R. Good Funeral Home, 171 King St. S. in Waterloo from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today (Monday). The funeral service will be held at Mount Zion Lutheran Church, Waterloo on Tuesday at 11 a.m., with Rev. John Boehmer officiating. Interment in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery, Linwood at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday.
