    Miss Essie A. Devitt

    Miss Essie A. Devitt, 2 Bellevue St., Waterloo, died Wednesday at K-W Hospital after a short illness. She had lived in Waterloo all her life. She was a daughter of the late Menno Devitt and his wife, Mary Anne Sauder. Miss Devitt was a member of First United Church, Waterloo and the Women's Auxiliary of the church. She was active in musical circles in Kitchener and Waterloo and had done solo work with various choirs and the K-W Philharmonic Society. Surviving are one brother, E. Stanley of Waterloo; and three sisters, Miss Bertha B. Devitt of Pasadena, Calif., Miss Hilda Devitt of Toronto and Mrs. Eva Wing of Waterloo. One brother died in 1950. The body is at the Edward R. Good Funeral Home, Waterloo, where the funeral service will be conducted Friday at 2 p.m. with Rev. A. R. Cregg officiating. Burial will be in Waterloo Mount Mope Cemetery.
