    NOAH MOYER

    Noah Moyer, pioneer resident of the Breslau-Preston road, died late yesterday afternoon. He was in his 87th year and had been in failing health for some time. Born near Riverbank, the late Noah Moyer settled on the homestead shortly after his marriage. Of recent years he has been living retired. Mr. and Mrs. Moyer celebrated their golden wedding early this year. He was a member of Zion United church. Besides his aged widow, four daughters, Mrs. N. Hagey, Mrs. Simon Hagey and Mrs. Lincoln Hagey, all on the Breslau-Preston road and Mrs. A. R. Springer of Arthur, one son, Milton, at home, survive. Edwin predeceased his father this summer following an accident. The funeral will take place from his late residence on Monday afternoon. A abort service will be held at the residence at two o'clock and at 2.30 o'clock a public service will be held at Hagey's church. Interment will be made in Hagey's cemetery.

    Mrs. Lincoln Hagey

    PRESTON, June 13. Well-known, lifelong resident of the Breslau Road district, Ella Moyer, wife of Lincoln Hagey, died suddenl at her home at 2 o'clock Saturday of a heart attack, at the age of 75 years. Mrs. Hagey, had been ailng for several years, but word of her sudden death came as a distinct shock to friends. Born on the old Moyer home stead, Breslau rood, the deceased had lived all her life in the district. In 1902 she was married to Lincoln Hagey, who survives. A member of Zion United Church, she was also a member of the Women's Missionary Society and the Ladies Aid of the church. Surviving are her husband; two sons, Carl at home and Robert of Guelph; five grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Simon Hagey and a brother, Milton Moyer, both of Breslau road. Rev. G. C. Gifford will officiate, at the funeral to he conducted at the residence, Tuesday, at 2: 30. Interment will be in Hagey's Cemetery.

    Meets Death In Fall Off Load Of Hay

    Edwin Moyer, aged 56, a well known farmer on the Preston Breslau road, was fatally injured on his farm last night when he fell off a load of hay, which was being drawn to the barn. Mr. Moyer died in the Galt general hospital at noon today, as a result of a fractured spine. He was attended by Dr. Claude Reist of Preston. From what can be learned Mr. Moyer and his son were rushing in the hay crop and on taking his last load into the barn Mr. Moyer lost his balance falling to the ground. Gray Brothers ambulance from Preston, was called and removed the injured farmer to the hospital. The accident happened about, seven o'clock.

    The late Mr. Moyer had resided on the Preston Breslau highway all his life, having been born on the property which until his death was his farm and was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Noah Moyer, both of whom survive and reside on the Preston Breslau road. There also survive his wife, one daughter, Elsie and four sons, Elton of the Preston Breslau road, Howard of Peterborough, Herbert at home and Lloyd of Mozetta, Alberta. Coroner Dr. Anthony Oaks of Preston was notified of the death, early this afternoon and no inquest will be held. The funeral will take place Saturday afternoon at 2.30 o'clock.

He accepted Christ in his teens, uniting with the Hagey Mennonite Church, Preston, and was a member of the Preston congregation until his death. The funeral was held Oct. 29 at the Preston Church in charge of Merle Shantz, Howard Good, and Arnold Gingrich, with burial in the Hagey Cemetery.

    Gordon Hagey, 61, died at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener, early to-day. He was taken to hospital Wednesday, when he was injured loading cattle at the farm of John Schnaeringer, RR 2 Breslau... Mr. Hagey farmed at the Dickie Settlement for 26 years, and lived at the Noah Moyer residence, RR 2 Preston, for the past eight years. He was a member of Preston Mennonite Church and former church treasurer and board member..."

    Roy was the proprietor of Hagey's Dairy, Preston in 1929 when he purchased milk routes in the New Hamburg area. He established Hagey's Model Dairy there and he operated the dairy by delivering fresh, unpasteurized milk to his New Hamburg customers on a daily basis except Sundays. New laws forced the smaller dairies to comply with stiffer sanitary codes and so the dairy ceased production in 1938.

    ROY M. HAGEY

    A well-known resident of New Hamburg. Roy M. Hagey, died last Friday at his residence, 295 Peel St. He was 71.

    Born in Waterloo Township, Feb. 20, 1897, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Simon Hagey. He lived in New Hamburg for 40 years.

    He was predeceased by his first wife, the former Elvina Martin, and his second wife, the former ldella Appel.

    Surviving are his wife, Malinda Snyder; two sons, Ralph of Kitchener and Kenneth of Monroe, Mich.; a daughter. Alice Hagey of Galt; one brother, Elton of Lincoln Park Mich.; one sister,

    Mrs. Anson (Nellie) Hallman of Kitchener; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

    He was also predeceased by two sisters and one brother.

    Services were conducted at the Bruce J. Omand Funeral Home Monday by Rev. Howard Schmitt.

    Burial took place in Hagey cemetery, Preston.

Dr. C. Elmer Kenny performed the ceremony. The bride wore a dusty pink wool ensemble with beige hat and accessories and a corsage of white gardenias. After a wedding trip to Montreal, the young couple will reside in Guelph.

    He will be remembered for his humour, his courage and the deep abidng love he had for his family and friends.

    At Elwood's request, cremation has taken place. A memorial visitation will be held at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira, on Thursday, Jan. 16 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A memorial service for family and ,friends will take place on Friday, Jan. 17 at 11 a.m. at Trinity United Church, Elmira, with Rev. David Jagger officiating.

    CRESSMAN, Grace Lois Passed away on Saturday, January 16, 2016, at Grand River Hospital, K-W Health Centre, Kitchener. Lois resided in Waterloo and was formerly of R.R. #1, New Hamburg. She was born 87 years ago in North Dumfries Township and was the daughter of the late Gordon and Sarah (Snyder) Hagey. Beloved wife of the late Harold Cressman who predeceased her July 27, 2002.     As a hobby, Floyd was an antique tractor collector and restorer of Massey-Harris. He is past president of the North Dumfries Plowman Association. In 1995, Floyd was the host of the International Plowing Match and a former owner of Kitchener Silo Company and Sealstor Silo Company. His greatest joy was taking his grandchildren on tours with the Family Motor Coach Association,
