Mrs. Edith Fouse

PRESTON, Mrs. Edith Fouse, 77, of 711 Hamilton St., Preston, widow of Charles Fouse, died suddenly Wednesday, in St. Petersburg, Fla., where she had been vacationing for the past few months. Mrs. Fouse was born at Warren, Ohio and had resided in Preston since 1941. Prior to that she had lived in Toronto, for 29 years. She was a member of St. Paul's United Church and was active in the local Senior Citizens group. She was the former Edith Brobst. Mrs. Fouse was predeceased by her husband in 1950 and by a son, Mervin, in 1943. Surviving are three sons, Nevin, Bruce and William all of Preston, two brothers, Carl Brobst of Toronto and Bruce Brobst of Preston; one sister, Mrs. Lida Goeppinger, of Miami, Fla. and eight grandchildren, The body is at the Stager-Barthel Funeral Home, where the funeral will he conducted, Sunday, at 3: 15 p.m. Burial will be in the Preston Cemetery. Rev. A. I. Waters of St. Paul's United Church will officiate.

Beloved husband of Alyce Charlton; dear father of Glenn of Australia and Carole (Mrs. Ronald Hebert) of Ottawa; also survived by two brothers, Bruce and William of Cambridge, and five grandchildren. Mr. Fouse was born in Warren, Ohio, and had resided in Cambridge (Preston) for 34 years; retired president of Kralinator Filters Ltd.; a member of St. Paul's United Church, Preston Masonic Lodge and Preston-Hespeler Rotary Club; Predeceased by one brother Mervin. Friends will be received by the family at the Barthel-Stager Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Rd., Cambridge (Preston) this afternoon and evening.

At Cambridge Memorial Hospital, on Monday, Sept. 15, 1997, in his 89th year. Beloved husband of Nora; dear father of Marcia and her husband Ron Brennan of Cambridge, Merv and his wife Susan Fouse, of Las Vegas and Trudi and her husband Rob Douglas of Cambridge. Loving grandfather of eight grandchildren. Brother of Bill and his wife Carol Fouse of Cambridge. Predeceased by two brothers, Nev and Merv Fouse. Friends were received at Coutts and Son Funeral Home, 96 St. Andrews St., Cambridge on Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. Funeral and committal service will be conducted in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, Sept. 17, 1997 (today) at 3 p.m., with Rev. Al Beaton officiating. Cremation to follow.
