    Norman Gooding

    Norman Gooding of 104 Margaret Ave. died at St. Mary's Hospital Saturday after a brief illness. He was 75.

    A son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Gooding, he was born in Glen Allan Sept. 28, 1893. He lived in the Twin Cities for the past 41 years. For 20 years he was employed at B.F. Goodrich Canada Ltd. He retired in 1961. He was a veteran of the First World War and served overseas. He was a member of Trinity United Church. His wife, the former Mabel McCrae, predeceased him in January, 1962. He was also predeceased by one daughter, Mabel, in 1950.

    Surviving are four sons, Norman of Waterloo and Thomas, Reginald and Alexander, all of Kitchener; three daughters, Mrs. Gerald (Dorothy) Lehmann, Mrs. Lorne (Patricia) Witschonski and Mrs. Anthony (Shirley) Zahra, all of Kitchener and 15 grandchildren. He was predeceased by two brothers, Charles and George.

    The body is at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home where the service will be conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. Rev. J. H. Patterson of Trinity United Church will officiate. Burial will be in Woodland cemetery.

    GOODING, Norman G.- At K-W Hospital, on Monday, June 17, 1991. Norman George Gooding, aged 69 years, of 238 Union St. E., Waterloo.

    Mr. Gooding was a member of St. Agnes RC Church and the Holy Name Society. He served with the Highland Light Infantry in the Sec ond World War and was employed with Dahmer Steel Company for many years.

    Beloved husband of Bernice (Bun ny) (nee Zuber), dear father of Barry and his wife Carolyn of Newmarket. Sandra and her husband Brian Ernst of Kitchener loving grandfa ther of Brett and Kimberly Gooding. Tim, Jeremy and Chad Ernst; brother of Thomas and his wife Lucy, Reginald and his wife Marie, all of Kitchener, Dorothy and her husband Gerry Lehmann of Waterloo, Pat Wistchonke of Kitchener, Shirley and her husband Tony Zahra of Waterloo.

    Predeceased by his parents, Nor- man and Mabel Gooding: brother, Alex and sister, Mabel.
    Friends and relatives may call at. the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W., Kitchener, after 7 p.m. today (Tuesday), continuing until Thursday 10:30 a.m., when prayers will be said at the funeral home, fol- lowed by the funeral mass at, St. Agnes RC Church at 11 a.m., Father Joseph Dephoff, SAC, officiating. Interment Parkview cemetery, Waterloo.

    Memorial donations to the KidneyFoundation or the Canadian Cancer Society, would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy. Reception to follow in the Ratz- Bechtel Family Centre.

    The parish prayers will be said at the funeral home on Wednesday at 8 p.m.

    Mr. Gooding was a member of Trinity United Church, Kitchener and had been a lifelong employee of Forsyth Shirt Co., Kitchener.
    Beloved husband of Marie (nee Lichty). Dear father of Michael and his wife Susan and Debbie Mustin and her husband Paul, all of Kitchener. Loving grandfather of Courtney and Mallory Gooding and Lindsey Mustin. Dear brother of Thomas and his wife Lucy of Kitchener, Dorothy and her husband Gerry Lehmann of Waterloo and Shirley Prout of Elliot Lake.

    Predeceased by his parents, Norman and Mabel Gooding; brothers, Norman and Alex and sisters, Patricia and Mabel.

    Mr. Gooding's family will receive friends at the Edward R. Good Fu- neral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, this evening (Monday) 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, Nov. 3, 1999 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Robert Hyde officiating.

    As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated
    by the family.
