Elsie Humeniski, beloved wife of the late Anthony Barban (1964), dear mother of Stella Pawelko and Helen and her husband Walter Neil, all of Cambridge. Lovingly remembered by 10 grandchildren, Sandra Fleming, Peggy Johnson, Karen Webster, Thomas Pawelko, Richard Wehrle, Robert Wehrle, Ronald Wehrle, Gary Wehrle, Teresa Jafry, Nancy Smith, 22 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson. Also survived by 3 sisters, Eleanor Plomske, Julia (Mrs. Bob Balahura), all of Kitchener, and Rose Emery of Cambridge. Predeceased by her parents, Nicholas and Mary Humeniski, 2 brothers, Michael and Peter, and 1 sister Olga Herzik. Friends will be received at the Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Road, Cambridge on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral Prayers will be conducted on Saturday, April 13, 1996 at 10: 00 am at the Funeral Home. Interment in St. Clements Cemetery, Cambridge.

PLOMSKE, Eleanor (nee) Humeniski- Peacefully at Cedarcroft Nursing Home (Stratford) on Monday, November 27, 2006. Eleanor was in her 94th year. Beloved wife of the late Milton (1989). Cherished mother of Ronald and his wife Joan (Whistler B. C. ), Gary and his wife Sue (London, Ontario), Judith George and her husband John (Shakespeare). Will be sadly missed by grandchildren, Tracey Gallacher and her husband Gary, Sheri Plomske and her partner Rob Mills and Stephen Plomske and by great-granddaughter, Alex. Survived by sister, Julia Balahura and her husband Bob (Kitchener). Eleanor was a longtime member of Sacred Heart Church and also a member of the Altar and Rosary Society. Visitation will be held this afternoon (Thursday) from 2-4 p. m. at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King Street West, Kitchener. Service in the Chapel on Friday at 2:30 p. m. Interment Memory Gardens (Breslau). Reception will be held at the Ratz-Bechtel Family Centre following the interment. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated by the family.

Passed away peacefully, with her family at her side, at St. Mary's Hospital on Sunday, September 30, 2012 at the age of 93. Born in Preston (Cambridge) before moving to Kitchener in 1952.
Julia was predeceased by her beloved husband, Robert (Dmytro) in 2010. Cherished mother of Dr. Robert (Jean) Balahura and Nancy (Don) Forsythe. Grandmother of Melissa Smith and Rob Balahura and great grandmother to Jessica Maziarz.
A private family service will be held at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, with interment to follow at Memory Gardens.
We would like to thank the caring and compassionate staff at the 6th floor, Step-Down Unit at St. Mary's Hospital. A special thank you to nurses, Rosie, Jacquie, Barb and Lindsay, and Dr, Anil Nagpal.

Peter was a crew member on Liberator aircraft #HK 316 bombing Japanese troop concentrations at Alugale, Burma when the aircraft burst into flames. It then hit a hill and disintegrated west of the village of Laungchaung, Maya Peninsula, Burma.

At her residence on Monday, July 26, 2004, aged 83 years. Rose Emery (nee Humeniski) is the beloved wife of the late Norman Emery (1985). Loved mother of Mark Emery and his wife Lesley of Brampton; loving grandmother of Michael and Lauren Emery; dear sister of Julia Balahura of Kitchener and Eleanor Plomske of Stratford. She was predeceased by one daughter Sharon (1955), two sisters; Elsie Barban, Ollie Herzig and two brothers; Michael and Peter Humeniski. Mrs. Emery was a member of the CWL at St. Gregory's and St. Ambrose RC Churchs and a former member of the Cambridge Lioness Club. Friends will be received at Coutts Funeral and Cremation Centre, 96 St. Andrews St., Cambridge, today (Thursday), from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Parish prayers will be 3:45 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Mass of Christian Burial, will be celebrated at St. Gregory's RC Church, Cambridge, on Friday, July 30, 2004, at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Mount View Cemetery, Cambridge.
