    Bernard Sebastian

    PRESTON, Bernard Sebastian of 119 Beck St., Preston, died Friday, at South Waterloo Hospital, Galt. He was 71. He was born in Poland and came to Canada when he was a child. He was a furniture finisher at the Beaver Furniture Co. Ltd., in Kitchener. He was a member of St. Clement's Roman Catholic Church, Preston, and a member of the Holy Name Society. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Amelia Jablecki, in 1962. He is survived by two sons, Joseph and Gerald both of Preston; five daughters, Mrs. Richard (Jeanette) Wright and Mary, both of Preston, Mrs. James (Patricia) Windsor of Galt, Mrs. Theodore (Theresa) Garvas of Hamilton and Mrs. Leonard (Hellen) Hopf of British Columbia; one brother, Frank of Dundas; three sisters, Mrs. Sophie Parniak and Mrs. Mary Dubeck, both of Preston and Mrs. Antoinette Harrisonoff of Kitchener; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. The body will be at the Barthel-Stager Funeral Home, Preston, after 7 p.m., today. The rosary will be recited at the funeral home Sunday, at 7:30 p.m. Removal will be made to St. Clement's Church for requiem mass Monday, at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Clement's cemetery.

    SEBASTIAN, Mary Catherine

    Passed away peacefully, during Easter Vigil on Saturday, March 26, 2016, at the age of 87 at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, with her loving family by her side. Mary loved her family deeply and was always there to support them. She has shown great courage and determination throughout her life, but especially over the last few years, in facing her growing health issues. Mary's faith was always very special to her as a devoted catholic and life-long member of St. Clement's Roman Catholic Church. She was a long-time employee at Allen Bradley, until her retirement and enjoyed the company of her friends that she worked with. Lovingly remember by her sisters Jeanette 'Jenny' Wright (Richard) and Pat Windsor (the late James), her brother Jerry Sebastian (Dianne) and also by her many nieces and nephews. Mary was predeceased by her parents, Amelia and Bernard Sebastian, sisters Helen Hopf and Teresa Garvis and her brother Joseph Sebastian. Resting at Corbett Funeral Home, 95 Dundas St. N. Cambridge on Friday April 1, 2016, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial, will be celebrated at St. Clement's Roman Catholic Church, 745 Duke St. Cambridge on Saturday, April 2, 2016, at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Parklawn Cemetery.

Sebastian, beloved husband of Shirley Matthews and dear father of Danny, Gregory, Terry and Michael, of Cambridge, in his 38th year. Mr. Sebastian was born and lived all his life in Preston. He was employed with the City of Kitchener. A member of St. Clements Church, Preston. Survived by one brother, Gerald of Cambridge and five sisters, Miss Mary Sebastian of Cambridge, Theresa (Mrs. Ted Garvas) of Hamilton, Jeanette (Mrs. Richard Wright) of Cambridge, Helen (Mrs. Leonard Hopf) of British Columbia, Nancy (Mrs. James Windsor) of Cambridge. Resting at the Barthel-Stager Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Rd., Cambridge (Preston), until Friday morning, then to St. Clements Church for funeral mass, at 10 a.m. Interment in Park Lawn cemetery.
