    Thomas (Leo) Goodyear

    PRESTON - Requiem mass was solemnized Tuesday in St. Clement's RC Church for Thomas (Leo) Goodyear, 67, of 153 Montrose St., Preston, who died Sunday at Westminster Hospital, London. He had been in poor health for some time. Mr. Goodyear was born in Arthur Township. He had lived retired for 10 years and had formerly been employed at the Canada Last Co. as a fireman. He is a member of St. Clement's RC Church and of the Holy Name Society and the Canadian Legion branch No. 126. He served overseas with the Second Battalion Canadian Mounted Regiment. Surviving are, his wife, the former Mary Ann Taylor; five sons, Wilfred, Frank, Austin and Larry all of Preston and James of Kitchener; four daughters, Marjory and Joan, both of Preston, Mrs. Jerome (Theresa) Kieswetter of Waterloo, Mrs. William (Beatrice) Frost of Detroit; two sisters, Mrs. Anderson and Mrs. Hems both of Toronto and 14 grandchildren. One daughter, Mary Irene, predeceased him in 1926. Interment was in St. Clement's RC Cemetery.

    GOODYEAR, Francis Albert (Frank)

    Of 153 Montrose St., Cambridge, Friday, Jan. 27, 1989, at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital, in his 81st year. Beloved son of Mrs. Mary Goodyear and the late Thomas Leo Goodyear; dear brother of Wilfred and Larry of Cambridge, James of Kitchener, Austin of Ayton, Marjory (Mrs. George Bryant) of Kitchener, Theresa (Mrs. Jerome Kieswetter), Beatrice (Mrs. William Frost), both of Waterloo, Joan of Chilliwack, B.C. Predeceased by one sister, Irene. Also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Mr. Goodyear was born in Mount Forest and came to Preston, Cambridge in 1941. Retired from Savage Shoes Limited of Cambridge. Friends will be received at the Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Rd., Cambridge, Saturday (to-day) from 7-9 p.m. and Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Clement's Church, Cambridge, Monday, at 10 a.m. Interment in St. Clement's cemetery. The Rosary will be recited at the funeral home Sunday evening at 7 p.m.
