    MRS. HENRY PLATE - The death occurred at the family residence, 54 Willow street, city, at 6: 15 o'clock Sunday of Mrs. Kathrine Plate, wife of Mr. Henry Plate, aged 53 years, six months and 13 days. The deceased was born in Woolwich township on February 23, 1878. She was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran church. She is survived by her husband and by the following children, Edgar Plate, Centreville, Harvey Plate and Gordon Plate at home, Mrs. William Manske, Kitchener, Mrs. A. Schwartzentruber, Kitchener, Miss Elsie Plate, Miss Dorothy Plate and Miss Veronica Plate at home. One son predeceased her 19 years ago. There are six grandchildren surviving. Also surviving are the following brothers and sisters, Messrs. Daniel and Michael Fries of Kitchener, Jacob Fries, Elmira and John Fries of Pakenham and Mrs. Henry Dobbentheim, Cline Iowa, Mrs. Wm. Dobbentheim, Elora, Mrs. L. Snider and Mrs. A. Vulcher, Elmira and Mrs. Arthur Rhodes, Kitchener. The funeral will take place at 2: 40 o'clock tomorrow (Wednesday) afternoon from the family residence, 54 Willow street, with Rev. Dr. H. A. Sperling in charge. Interment will be made in Mount Hope cemetery.

    Survived by her husband, William; daughter, Marjorie and husband Stanley W. Hallman of Waterloo; son, Bill and wife Hollis Manske of Brucefield; also six grandsons; seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Nettie, Elsie, Dorothy, Veronica (Franey) and brother, Edgar Plate.

    She was predeceased by her parents and brothers, Gordon and Harvey.

    A family funeral service took place today at the Edward R. Good Funeral Home, Waterloo, with Rev. Thomas Lurvey of St. Peter's Lutheran church officiating. Flowers gratefully declined.

Dear grandmother of Debbie and her husband Douglas Mullins of Timmins, Patricia and her husband Bruce Winkler, Barbara and her husband John Heide; sister of Veronica Wilinsky and Elsie Pitz, all of Kitchener; great-grandmother of Craig, Chad and Billyjim Mulllins, Jackie, Tracey and Jodi Winkler, Karen, Richard, Daryl and Kim Heide.

    Mrs. Swartzentruber was predeceased by her husband, Abner; her son, Douglas; her parents, Henry and Katherina Plate (nee Fries); brothers, Edgar, Harvey, Gordon and Walter Plate; sisters, Gertrude Manske and Dorothy Metler. Friends may call at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W., Kitchener, on Saturday from 7-9 p.m. and Sunday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held Monday in the Ratz-Bechtel Chapel. Interment Memory Gardens cemetery.

Mrs. Pitz was a member of St. Matthews Lutheran church in Kitchener. A memorial service for relatives and friends will be held in the chapel of St. Matthews Lutheran Church in Kitchener on Tuesday, January 11, 2000 at 1 pm, with Rev. David Malina officiating. Cremation has taken place. Following the service, friends and relatives are invited to remain at St. Mathew Lutheran Church for refreshments and a time to visit.     The former Veronica Gladys Plate, aged 80 years. Veronica was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran,Church.

    Remembered by her daughters, Brenda Panke of Victoria, B.C., Shirley and her husband Frank Rohleder of Evandale, N.B., Lynn Hawkins of Waterloo. Connie and her husband Ed Panke of Pembroke and her son. Joseph and his wife Libby of Kitchener; eight grandchildren, Lisa, John, Paul, Julie, Connie, Laura, Janet and Judy and five great-grandchildren. She . was also a special aunt to many nieces and nephews and their families.

    Predeceased by her parents, Henry Plate and Katherina Fries; four brothers, Harvey, Edgar, Walter and Gordon and four sisters, Gertrude Manske, Dorothy Metier, Nettie Swartzentruber and Elsie Pitz.

    At Veronica's request there will be no visitation or service at the funeral home. As a fitting memorial to Veronica's life.it would be her wish that you do as Jesus said "I give you a new commandment: love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. If you have love for one another. then everyone, will know that you are my disciples." John 13:34.35.

Marj will be sadly missed but always in the heart of Stanley Hallman, her beloved husband of 57 years. Marj was an active and faithful member of Knox Presbyterian Church, Waterloo. She was a member of Westmount Golf and Country Club and was a past member of the I.O.D.E. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service to celebrate Marj's life will be held at Knox Presbyterian Church, 50 Erb St. W., Waterloo on Sunday, October 1, 2000 at 2 p.m., with Rev. Dr. Walter McLean and the Rev.
