    ROPP, Emma - Mrs. John Ropp, 86, of 184 Queen St. E., Wellesley, died Tuesday at the Milverton Nursing Home. Born in Ellice Township, Oct. 28, 1894, she was the former Emma Roes, a daughter of the late John Roes and former Mary Nafziger. She was a member of the Cedar Grove Amish Mennonite Church. Surviving are her husband, John of Wellesley; two sons, Emanuel, of RR 1, Wellesley, and Elmer of RR 1, Brunner; four daughters, Mrs. Joseph (Esther) Gerber, of Wellesley, Mrs. Milton (Clara) Roth, of Toronto, Mrs. Elmer (Adeline) Erb, of Millbank, and Mrs. Joseph (Barbara) Kennell, of Waterloo; two brothers, Noah, of Brunner, and Samuel, of Poole; one sister, Mrs. Joseph (Annie) Gerber of 45 Buckingham Dr., Stratford; 23 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by one son, Daniel, in 1963, and one brother. Friends were received at the Futher Brothers Funeral Home, Wellesley until noon Friday when a funeral service was held at 1 pm at Cedar Grove Amish Mennonite Church. Bishop Arthur Gerber officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery.

    Passed away Tuesday at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener, after a lengthy illness, a resident of Brunner, age 73 years, beloved husband of Catherine Gerber; beloved father of Elmer of Millbank, Clayton of Sarnia, Raymond of Brunner, Clara (Mrs. Walter Zehr), Route 7, Woodstock; brother of Samuel of Poole, Noah of Brunner; Emma (Mrs. John Ropp) of Wellesley, Annie (Mrs. Joseph Gerber) of Stratford; also survived by seven grandchildren.

    Friends may call at the Futher Bros. Funeral Home, Wellesley, where a family service will be conducted Friday at 1 o'clock, followed by a memorial service at the Nafziger Amish Mennonite Church, Poole, at 2 o'clock. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

    ROPP, Emanuel -Passed away peacefully, on Saturday, April 14, 2007 at Nith View Home in New Hamburg. Emanuel resided at RR 1, Wellesley, (Lisbon). He was born in Wellesley Township 89 years ago, son of the late John Ropp and the late Emma Roes. Emanuel was a member of Faith Mennonite Church. He farmed on Streicher Line, retiring from the farm in 1973. Beloved husband of Annie (Brenneman) Ropp whom he married April 14, 1979. Dear father of Edith and her husband Gerald Martin of Waterloo, Irene and her husband Paul Hansen of Brooks, Alberta and David and his wife Janet Ropp of Millbank. Brother of Elmer and Edna Ropp of Brunner, Esther Gerber of New Hamburg, Adeline and Elmer Erb of Millbank and Barbara and Joseph Kennel of New Dundee. Brother-in-law of Milton Roth. Cherished grandpa of Julie Martin, Jennifer and Ben Hofstede, Kevin and Scott Hansen, Sonja and Ken Porfoun, Nadine, Katie and Leanne Ropp. Great-grandpa of eight. Predeceased by his first wife, Mary Gerber, 1977; by two brothers, Daniel Ropp and Samuel Ropp in infancy, also by a sister, Clara Roth and a brother-in-law, Joseph Gerber. Visitation at the Futher Bros. Funeral Home, 1172 Henry St. in Wellesley where family and friends will be received today (Monday) 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. At 9 a.m. Tuesday removal will be made to Faith Mennonite Church in Kingwood for the funeral service Tuesday, April 17, 2007 at 1 p.m. Pastors Paul Yantzi, Larry Jantzi and David Roth will officiate. Burial will follow in the Cedar Grove Amish Mennonite Cemetery. Memorials to Faith Mennonite Church Building Fund or to the Mennonite Central Committee would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.

    Died Monday, April 13. 1981. at St. Mary's Hospital. Kitchener. He lived in Millbank and was born in Mornington township 57 years ago.
    He was employed with the Perth County Roads Department for 29 years and was a member of Poole Mennonite Church.

    Son of the late David N. Roes and the former Katherine Gerber. Lovingly remembered by his wife, the former Beatrice Kipfer, whom he married in 1953, two daughters. Marilyn (Mrs. Ron Schultz) of Milverton. Donna, at home and two grandchildren. Jeff and Tim Schultz; two brothers. Clayton of Chatham and Ray of Brunner: one sister, Clara (Mrs. Walter Zehr) of RR 7. Woodstock.

    Friends were received at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home. New Hamburg chapel, until noon on Wednesday, April 15, when removal was made to Poole Mennonite Church for service at 2 p.m. with Rev. Amsey Martin officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
