Francis (Frank) Plate 1933-2006 - Passed away, peacefully, at his residence in Kitchener, on Thursday, March 9, 2006, at the age of 72 years. Beloved husband of Isabel (Coghlin) for 43 years, dear father of Lorrie Miller and her husband Scott of Waterloo and two grandchildren, Ryan and Natalie Miller; step-father of Dianne Schwan and her husband tom, Maxine Knowles, all of Waterloo and Richard Smith and his wife Norma of Kitchener. Also survived by 9 step-grandchildren and 11 step-great-grandchildren, a brother Terry Plate and his wife Linda of Kitchener and sisters, Jacqueline Duguay (Gerard), Norma Gutoskie (Howard), Maurine Gutoskie (Leonard), all of Kitchener, and Katherine Irwin of Guelph and a brother and sister-in-law, John and Helen Coghlin. He was predeceased by his parents, Harvey Plate and Frances Kenyon, brother Gordon, sister Delores, brother-in-law, Bob Irwin, father and mother-in-law, Elgin and Blanche Coghlin, brothers and sisters-in-law, Norman and Grace Coghlin, Merle and Agnes McIntosh. Frank was a retired foreman of B.F. Goodrich and a member of Trinity United Church, Kitchener. Friends are invited to share their memories of Frank with his family at the Edward R. Good Funeral Home, 171 King Street South, Waterloo, on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service to celebrate Frank's life will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Monday, March 13, 2006 at 11 am, Rev. Jack Paleczny officiating. Interment in Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo followed by a reception in the Fireside Reception Room of the funeral home. In memory of Frank, donations to the Grand River Regional Cancer Centre would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy and can be arranged through the funeral home.
