    NEW HAMBURG ---- August Krogman; a resident of New Hamburg for 53 years died at the home of his son, Herman and was buried on Wednesday in Riverside cemetery. Service was held in Trinity Lutheran church. Deceased was in his 73rd year and had lived in New Hamburg for 23 years. Deceased was born in Germany, came to Kitchener 43 years ago, where he was employed. He came to New Hamburg to work in the Felt Boot Co. factory. Following a number of year's employment he opened a boot and shoe repair shop, which he operated until ill health caused him to retire. Deceased was a member of the C. O. Foresters. His wife predeceased him 24 years ago. The family are: Gustave in U.S.A.. Paul of Doon, Herman of New Hamburg, Harry and Lorne of Detroit; Mrs.. Lorne Hoffman of Waterloo. Mrs. Gregory Schiedel, Mrs. George Schosenberg and Mrs. Joseph House of Detroit.

    HERMAN E. KROGMAN

    A well-known resident of New Hamburg. Herman E Krogman of 19 Waterloo Street, died Sunday at St. Mary's Hospital. Kitchener. after a brief illness. He was 73.

    Born in New Hamburg, Aug. 1, 1895, he was the son of the late Mr and Mrs. August Krogman, and resided in New Hamburg all of his life. He was employed by Hahn Brass Ltd., before his retirement in 1967.

    Mr. Krogman was a member of Holy Family RC Church.

    He leaves his wife, the former Alberta Ritz: two brothers. Harry of Royal Oak, Mich., and Lorne of Taylor, Mich., and three sisters, Mrs. George (Elma) Harper of Waterloo, Mrs. Gregory (Wanda) Schiebel of Tucson, Ariz., and Mrs. Bernard (Ella) Anderson of New Boston. Mich.

    A Parish Rosary was held Monday night at the Bruce J. Omand Funeral Home. Prayers were held Tuesday morning, followed by mass at Holy Family Church. Burial was held in Holy Family cemetery.

    Lorne Krogman, of Taylor, Mich., died at his home Friday. He was 54.

    He was born in New Hamburg, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. August Krogman. He is survived by his wife the former Irene Riehl. and one brother, Harry of Royal Oak, Mich., three sisters, Mrs. Wanda Schiebel of Tucson, Ariz., Mrs. Ella Anderson of Detroit and Mrs. George W. (Elma) Harper of Waterloo.

    Funeral services were held at the Bruce J. Omand Funeral Home on Monday. Rev. A.L. Conrad of St. John's Lutheran Church, Waterloo, officiating.

    Fatal Auto Accident
    Evelyn Krogman, three year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Krogman, of Kitchener, died at the Kitchener-Waterloo Hospital on Saturday night from injuries received in an auto accident the previous evening on Bleam's Road, about two miles east of New Hamburg. Mr. Krogman and his two small daughters were returning to Kitchener about 8 o'clock, when his upset in turning out for a rig coming from the opposite direction. The accident victims were brought back to town by another car coming along and a doctor was summoned and first aid given. It was found that the little girl had sustained fractured skull and she was rushed to Kitchener-Waterloo Hospital, where she passed away. Mr. Krogman and his other daughter, Ruth, escaped with minor bruises. Mr. Krogman, going at a moderate speed, turned his car into the ditch to avoid a collision with the horse and buggy, which he did not see in time as it bore no light. The driver of the horse did not stop and the authorities are investigating the matter. The funeral of the little girl was held on Monday afternoon.
