    Beloved father of K. Jack Plate of Windsor; dear grandfather of Carol Robb, Kim and Hal Plate. Also survived by sisters, Franie, Elsie and Nettie, of Kitchener and Dorothy of Toronto.

    Resting at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W., Kitchener, after 2 pm, Thursday. Funeral services from the chapel, Friday, April 26 at 11 am. Interment Mount Hope Cemetery, Kitchener.

    Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.

    SGT. PILOT LEROY PLATE - Sgt. Pilot Leroy Edgar Plate, 234 Waterloo Street, Kitchener, died in a plane crash, Wednesday, near No. 1 Central Navigation School, Rivers, Manitoba. Son of Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Plate, Sgt. Plate was born in Kitchener 21 years ago. He was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church. Surviving are two brothers, Robert and Jack, at home. The remains are resting at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home until 1 p.m. on Monday when removal will be made to St. Mark's Lutheran Church. Funeral services will be conducted at the church at 2: 30 p.m., by Rev. A. G. Jacobi, pastor. Burial will be made in Mount Hope Cemetery.

Son of the late Hilda Boyd and Edgar of Windsor; dear friend of Alice VanGoethem; father of Carol (Mrs. Clayton Robb) of Toronto; brother of Jack of Windsor. Predeceased by one brother, Leroy. Friends may call at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 521 King St. W., Kitchener, Thursday (this evening) 7-9 pm. Funeral and committal service in the Ratz-Bechtel Chapel on Friday at 2 pm, with Rev. Alan Cook officiating. Cremation.
