Rueffer, Kenneth - Peacefully, at St. Mary's Hospital, on Friday, May 26, 1995, 78 years of age. Ken was the owner of Rueffer's Market (currently Kirkland's) of Sauble Beach. He was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church and in his youth Ken played junior and senior hockey for Kitchener. Lovingly remembered by his wife, Bernice Rueffer (nee Berlet) and son, Dr. Peter Rueffer and his wife Sandra, all of Kitchener and daughter, Sue Ann Carruthers, and her husband Michael of Owen Sound. Will be sadly missed by his grandchildren, Leanne and Katherine Rueffer, James, Kenneth (KC) and his wife Michelle and Christine Carruthers and Dawn Collicott and two great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his parents, Peter L. and Emilie Rueffer. Ken loved his church, his family and his friends and will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Friends may call at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W., Kitchener, today (Saturday) from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Transfer will take place on Sunday at 2 pm, to Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 322 East Ave., Kitchener with visitation from 3 pm until the funeral and committal service at 4 pm. Interment Memory Gardens.
