    Well Known Farmer Dies

    Herman Ludolph, aged 61 years, a well known farmer of this district, passed away suddenly on Thursday afternoon when seixed with a heart attack as he arrived at the home of a neighbor, Harold Trussler after a short walk through the snow-covered fields. The deceased was the oldest son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Conrad Ludolph and was life-long resident of the community. On June 3, 1914, he married Amelia Gremm who survived together with four children, namely: Paul, Arnold, Meta and Dorothea all at home; besides three sisters, Mrs. William Gremm and the Misses Alberta and Emma Ludolph all of Waterloo; and two brothers, Carl of Arnprior and Albert of R.R. 2 Kitchener. A private funeral service was held at the family residence on Sunday afternoon followed by a public service at 3 o'clock at the Mannheim Lutheran Church of which the late Mr. Ludolph was a faithful member. Rev. W. J. Goos officiated and internment was made in the adjoining cemetery.

    Ludolph, Paul Herman - On Jan. 15, 1977, at K-W Hospital, Paul Ludolph of 42 Agnes St., Kitchener, age 61. Born in Waterloo Township, he was a lifelong resident of the Kitchener area. A member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church and an active Sunday School teacher for many years. Son of the late Herman Ludolph and the former Emma Gremm. Survived by his wife, the former Margaret Wagner; one son, Frederick, at home; two daughters, Mrs. Katharine (Hans) Borch of Alberta and Christine, at home; also survived by two sisters, Meta and Dorothy, both of Kitchener. Predeceased by one brother, Arnold. Friends may call at the Gruhn Funeral Home, 178 Queen St. S., Kitchener until noon Wednesday when removal will be made to St. Peter's Lutheran Church for funeral service and committal at 2 p.m., Dr. H. W. Opperman officiating. Internment in the spring in St. Peter's cemetery. Donations to St. Peter's TV Ministry, the Ontario Heart Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.

    Arnold C. Ludolph of 61 Benton St. died at his home Tuesday after a brief illness. He was 58. Born Aug. 20, 1916, in Waterloo Township, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Herman Ludolph. A Kitchener resident since 1945; he was employed for 15 years in the warehouse of York Trading Ltd. He was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church. Surviving are one brother, Paul, and two sisters, Meta and Dorothy, all of Kitchener. The funeral service will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. by Rev. Dr. H. W. Opperman at the Gruhn Funeral Home. Burial will be in St. Peter's Lutheran cemetery.

    Ludolph, Miss Meta H. - At K-W Hospital, on Wednesday, Jan. 18, 1984, following a brief illness, Meta Helena Ludolph, age 65 years, of 812 King St. W., Kitchener. Miss Ludolph was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church; the Lutheran Church Women; the Golden Circle and the Prayer Group and was employed at the K-W Hospital until her retirement. Dear sister of Dorothy of Kitchener and sister-in-law, Margaret (Mrs. Paul Ludolph) of Kitchener. Also surviving are nieces, Katharine and Hans Borch of Camp Borden and Christine and Mark Kresky of Tilsonburg and nephew, Fred and Debbie Lou Ludolph of Waterloo; great niece, Anna Borsh and great-nephews, Matthew and David Borch. Predeceased by her parents and two brothers, Paul and Arnold.Friends may call at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W., Kitchener, after 7 p.m. today, unitl noon Friday, when removal will be made to St. Peter's Lutheran Church for funeral and committal service at 2 p.m., with Rev. Eric Reble officiating. Internment St. Peter's Lutheran cemetery. Memorial donations to St. Peter's TV Ministry or World Hunger, gratefully acknowledged.

    Ludolph, Dorothy Magdalena March 23, 1922 - May 22, 2015

    Passed away peacefully on Friday, May 22, 2015 at Columbia Forest LTC, Waterloo, at age 93. Daughter of the late Herman Ludolph and Emilie (Gremm) Ludolph. Last surviving member of her immediate family. Also predeceased by her brother Paul and wife Margaret, brother Arnold, and sister Meta. Fondly remembered by nieces, Katharine Borch and husband Hans, Chris Kresky and husband Mark; and nephew Fred Ludolph and wife Debbie Lou; great-nieces, Anna Winter (Kevin), Meghan Kresky (Nick), Melissa Crawford (Adam), and Rebekah Ludolph (Nathan Mantey); great-nephews, Matthew Borch (Natalie), David Borch (Katelyn), and Paul Ludolph. Also remembered by great-greats, Corson and Pyper Winter, Scarlett, Joseph and Derek Borch, and Sonja Mantey-Ludolph. Retired from Kaufman footwear in 1987 after 41 years of service. A long-time faithful member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Kitchener singing in the choir for over 40 years, a member of Lutheran Women and the quilting group. Dorothy loved music, flowers, her family and her church. She has been the matriarch of our family, the keeper of our history, and she will be missed. Friends are invited to share their memories of Dorothy with her family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Sunday, May 24, 2015 from 2: 30 - 4: 30 p.m. The funeral service will be held at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 49 Queen St. N., Kitchener on Monday, May 25, 2015 at 11 a.m. A reception will follow at the church. Interment in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery. Special thanks to the staff of Watson House at Columbia Forest Long Term Care. Your care and compassion during Dorothy's stay there are greatly appreciated.
