    J. AYLMER WEICKER

    J. Aylmer Weicker of Regina, Sask. died at the Moose Jaw Hospital on August 31. He was 83.

    He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. James (Madge) Holden of Brampton; two granddaughters and three brothers. Willis. Percy and Maurice, all of New Hamburg.

    Mr. Weicker was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs Fred Weicker and was born in Waterloo Township. He came with his parents to the Haysville district in 1895 and attended Green's school.

    He went west over 60 years ago and lived in Regina for many years, but had lately resided at Central Park Lodge in Moose Jaw.

    He was predeceased by his wife, the former Grace Colthorpe, in 1953 and by one brother. Dr. C.H. Weicker of Regina, in 1961.

    Funeral services were held in Regina on September 3.

    Aylmer Weicker

    Jacob Aylmer Weicker filed on his homestead the N.E. 14-6-20 in September 15, 1905. He proved it up and when Ceylon began moved into Ceylon and had an insurance business with Walter Logan for several years before moving to Regina.

    Uncle Aylmer was born in Preston, Ontario in 1888 and married Mildred Grace Cowlthorp who taught school at Ceylon on September 10, 1913. My Aunt Grace, was born at Lake George, Minnesota, U.S.A. in 1889.

    The Weickers had an adopted daughter Madeline who lives in Ontario with her husband, and their two daughters.

    Grace Weicker passed away suddenly at her home in Regina April 2, 1953.

    Aylmer Weicker passed away in Moose Jaw in the latter part of the 1960's.
