    Ex-Grocer George Buck Dies at 89

    George Buck, known to Kit-chener grocery shoppers for 60 years, died yesterday at his home, 11 Mill St., after a heart attack. He was 89. He started in the grocery trade as a young man, and worked for Dunke's Grocery for 42 years. After a short period as assistant manager of the Do-minion Store, he moved to the Schell-Englert Grocery in 1937, and stayed until his retirement late in 1953. Mr. Buck was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Buck of Phillipsburg. He was an elder of St. An-drew's Presbyterian Church, a member of Twin City Masonic Lodge, Vallette Precetptory No 64 and Kitchener Chapter Royal Arch Masons No. 117. He was a past patron and charter member of Patricia Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star, and a past noble grand of the Independent Order of Oddfellows. Surviving is his wife, the former Emma Joachimi whom he married in Kitchener in 1901. He was predeceased by 10 brothers and sisters.
    The body will be at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home until 11 a.m. Wednesday, when removal will be made to St. Andrew's Church for service at 2 p.m., conducted by Very Rev. F. G. Stewart. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery. Donations to the Women's Missionary Society of St. An-drew's Church will be accepted as expressions of sympathy.
