    Brubacher. - Jonas B. Brubacher died Feb. 7, 1915; aged 79 y. 2 m. 21 d. He was united in marriage to Magdalena Gingerich on Nov. 18, 1866. To this union were born 9 children, 2 having preceded him to the spirit world. He leaves to mourn his departure a widow, 7 children, 26 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren. He united with the Mennonite Church when young and was ordained in Brutus, Mich., as deacon in the Wisler Branch, in which capacity he labored faithfully till death. Funeral services at the Mayton Mennonite Church by John K. Lehman. Text, II Tim. 4: 6-8. Remains were laid to rest in cemetery near by.

    BRUBACHER, CLAYTON E --On Tuesday, April 12, 1977, at his home in St. Jacobs, age 80 years. Beloved husband of Lydia Kilmer; dear father of Raymond of St. Jacobs, Mrs. Zienas (Lauretta) Martin of Route 1, Waterloo, Mrs. James (Elsie) Cathrie of Elmira; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren also survive; brother of Mrs. Frank (Marion) Roush of Ithaca, Mich. Predeceased by one sister and one brother. Friends may call at the Dreisinger Funeral Parlor, Elmira, after 7 p.m. today, until Thursday, April 14, at 11 a.m., when removal will be made to St. Jacobs Mennonite Church for funeral service at 3 p.m. Internment in St. Jacobs Mennonite cemetery. Donations to the Ontario Mennonite Mission Board will be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.

    Brubacker.- Clayton E., son of Eli and Lovina (Ernst) Brubacker, was born in Peel Twp., Ont., Mar. 31, 1897; died at his home in St. Jacobs, Ont., Apr. 12, 1977; aged 80 y. On Sept. 8, 1920, he was married to Lydia Kilmer, who survives. Also surviving are one son (Raymond), 2 daughters (Lauretta-Mrs. Zienas Martin, and Elsie-Mrs. James Cathrea), 9 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and one sister (Marion-Mrs. Frank Roush). She was preceded in death by one brother and one sister. He was a member of St. Jacobs Mennonite Church, where funeral services were held on Apr. 14, in charge of Clare Wideman; interment in St. Jacobs Mennonite Church Cemetery.

    LAURETTA MARTIN 1923 - 2008 Lauretta died peacefully in her sleep, at Heritage House in St. Jacobs, on Sunday, November 9, 2008. She had just celebrated her 85th birthday on October 25th. Lauretta will be lovingly remembered by her family who meant everything to her - children Douglas and his wife Margaret Martin of Cambridge and Judith and her husband Terry Jutzi of Kitchener. She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Suzanne and Chris Schaefer, Tara and Yvon Deschenes, Chad Martin and Katrina Woerns, Jessica Jutzi and Stephen Kelley, Seth Jutzi and Alicia MacFadden; great-grandchildren, Hanna, Ryan, Sebastien and Keagan. Lauretta is also survived by her sister, Elsie Cathrea of Kelowna, B.C.; sister-in-law, Emma Brubacher of St. Jacobs and brother-in-law, George Maurer of Phillipsburg. She was predeceased by her husband, Zienas Martin; parents Lydia (Kilmer) and Clayton Brubacher; brother, Raymond Brubacher and brothers and sisters-in-law, Jim Cathrea, Luanna Maurer and Ellen and Turk Zess. She was a faithful member of Erb Street Mennonite Church in Waterloo. For over 50 years, Lauretta loved to be at their family cottage at Chesley Lake. Wherever Lauretta was, her gift to others was her unconditional friendship and ability to make people feel special. Relatives and friends are invited to share their memories of Lauretta with her family at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home , 171 King Street South, Waterloo on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service to celebrate her life and faith will be held at Erb Street Mennonite Church in Waterloo on Wednesday, November 12, 2008, 2 p.m. with Rev. Eleanor Epp-Stobbe officiating. Interment to follow in Erb Street Mennonite Cemetery.
