Passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 5, 2015 at Grand River Hospital, at the age of 81. Beloved husband of Gladys of 58 years. Cherished father of Edward (Marilyn), Deborah (Garry) Mitchell, Charmaine (Dave) Owen and Colleen (Ross) Peters. Dear grandfather of Ryan, Jennifer (Trevor) Ditner, Sara and Sean Peters. Loved brother of Frank (Marilyn) and Rita (Laverne) MacIntosh and predeceased by siblings Melvin, Gladys Beacom and Helen Schnurr. Russel's family will receive relatives and friends from 2 - 4 p.m. and 7 - 9 p.m. on Sunday, February 8, 2015 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home , 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Monday in the funeral home chapel. Interment Memory Gardens followed by a reception at the funeral home.
