Additional Facts Regarding the Unfortunate Young Man.

George Licht was the son of Mr. Fred Licht, waggon-maker. Going into the barn some time during the early part of the afternoon he attached a piece of rope to the rafter and then inserted his neck in the noose, swinging clear of the ground nearly two feet. The deceased, always an industrious and quiet fellow had recently been working as a farm hand for Mr. Thamer near there. He quit work not long ago of his own accord, saying he could not serve two masters, God and Man and from that time, some six weeks ago, he has been with his father, acting queerly at times, being apparently possessed by a religious mania. He would go into public places during working hours and pray and talk religion and a Sunday or two ago went to the U. B. church barefooted and bareheaded. He lately told his mother that he was not, he thought, a Christian and sometimes for a whole day would not eat a meal. He did very little, if any, work, during the past four weeks, saying "The Lord will provide if we do His will." His mother went to call him to supper when she was almost stunned, by running into his body on opening a door into the barn.
