    John William Acres

    PRESTON, Oct. 20 - John William Acres. Preston resident for the past 10 years, died at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener, early Saturday afternoon. In his 38th year the late Mr. Acres had been confined to hospital seriously ill for the past six weeks. Born in Enfield, England, the deceased came to Canada in 1924, residing in Mitchell and St. Thomas before coming to Preston 10 years ago. A shoeworker, the late Mr. Acres was employed with Lashbrook Shoe Co. and was for a time employed with Eastern Steel Products. He was a member of St. John's Anglican Church. Surviving is his wife, Elizabeth Jinssen; a son, Leonard and a daughter, Jane. Two sisters and two brothers, in England, survive. His parents predeceased him. The body is resting at the Stager. Pass Ltd. Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, with service in St. John's Anglican Church at 3: 30 p.m. Interment will be in Park Lawn Cemetery, Preston.
