    Mrs. Joseph Huck

    Mrs. Joseph Huck, 83, of 251 Queen St. South, died Sunday in St. Mary's Hospital. The former Clementine Krane, she was born in Breslau, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Krane. She was a member of St. Mary's RC Church and the Catholic Women's League. Her husband, whom she married in Kitchener in 1904, died in 1956. Surviving are five sons, George A., Joseph C. and James R., all of Kitchener, Vincent of Waterloo and William of Ottawa; one daughter, Mrs. Louis (Marie) Talbot of Quebec; and four sisters, Mrs. Frank (Irene) Shrimpton of Los Angeles, Miss Leila Krane, Mrs. William (Mae) Henze and Mrs. Ted (Betty) Madigan, all of Fort Lauderdale, Fla. There are 18 grandchildren. The body is at the Schreiter-Sandrock Funeral Home, where the rosary will be recited at 8 o'clock tonight. Prayers at the funeral home at 9.30 a.m. Wednesday will be followed by requiem high mass in St. Mary's Church at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Mount Hope RC Cemetery.

    HUCK, George A. Peacefully on Wednesday, January 5, 2000. George A. Huck of Goderich Township, in his 95th year. Beloved father of Marilyn and Lorne Garrett of Sarnia. Dear grandfather of Hugh and Judy Garrett of Sarnia, Alex and Julie Garrett of London. Great-grandfather of Keith and Ben of Sarnia, Anne, Alexander and Kathleen of London. Brother of Joseph C. and Margaret Huck, James R. and Rita Huck, all of Kitchener, Marie and Peter Amberry of Ottawa. Brother-in-law of Fran Huck of Ottawa and Christine Gidney of Milverton. Predeceased by his wife Ellen, exwife Kathleen and brothers Vincent and William Huck. A prominent member of the Glove Industry, George was the driving force behind the Huck Glove Co. in Kitchener founded by his father Joseph and was president and C. E. O. until his retirement to Goderich in 1963. He was Chairman of the Ontario Glove Association from 1934-1946. Director of the hardware division of the Wartime Prices & Trade Board from 1939-1945. In his retirement he and Ellen enjoyed raising purebred cattle and show horses on their beloved Glovellen Farms. An active and lifelong member of the Rotary Club, George was the recipient of the Paul Harris award in 1975. Until suffering a debilitating stroke in 1994, George played a positive role in the community. Since 1998 he has been a resident of Maitland Manor in Goderich. The family will receive friends at the McCallum & Palla Funeral Home, Cambria Rd. at East St., Goderich, on Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Monday morning at 11:00. Cremation. Donations to the charity of your choice gratefully acknowledged.

    After a brief illness, Sunday, Sept. 18, 1990, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Peterborough, in his 80th year. At the time of his retirement, Vincent was the president of Huck Glove Co. He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish and a fourth degree member of Waterloo Knights of Columbus Council, No. 5135. He was a past member of the Sales and Ad Club and Westmount Golf and Country Club and the Kiwanis Club. Husband of the late Florence Huck (March 31, 1986). Dear father of John and his wife Debbie Huck of Kitchener, Mary Ann and her husband Len Martin of Lakefield, Ont. Loving grandfather of David and his wife Joyce Huck, Paul and Philip Huck, Jeff, Tim, Kelly Ann Martin; great-grandfather of Kyle. He is survived by four brothers, George A. of Goderich, William of Ottawa, Joseph C. of Waterloo and James R. of Kitchener and one sister, Marie Ambery of Ottawa. Predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Clementine Huck. Visiting in the Schreiter-Sandrock Funeral Home and Chapel, 51 Benton at Church St., Kitchener, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today (Tuesday).     HUCK, James (Jim) Passed away at the Village of Winston Park on Monday, February 22, 2016, at the age of 93. Predeceased by his beloved wife Rita (nee Bauer). Jim was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Loving father to Martha Phillips, husband Brad and their children Christina (Mike Wood) their daughter Lauren, Paul, Elysia, and Jennifer (Cam Little); and to Tim, wife Linda and their daughters Stephanie and Amberley; and to Becky Madter, husband Chris and their children James and Sarah. Jim served as a Sergeant in the Second World War as a tail gunner aboard the Lancaster. Later, he joined the family business, Huck Glove Company Ltd., eventually owning and operating the business. Jim was an active, longtime member in the community, serving on the Separate School Board, the Waterloo Club, and member of Westmount Golf and Country Club. Friends are invited to share their memories of Jim with family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Thursday, February 25th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, February 26th at 11 a.m. Reception to follow.
