    PRESTON—Preston resident for 25 years, John Wagner, 1331 Queen St., died at Westminster Hospital, London, early yesterday at the age of 72. Mr. Wagner had been ailing for six months, confined to hospital for a month and critically ill for three days. Born near Milverton in Perth County, Nov. 2, 1880, he resided there until coming to Preston in 1928. A laborer, he was employed with Otto Homuth's and Graham Metal Products until he retired in 1949. He was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church. He was married Sept. 27, 1905, in Listowel, to Martha Krajaefski, who survives with five daughters, Mrs. Alberta England of Toronto; Mrs. Thomas Stuart of Elmira; Mrs. Frank Wildfong of Hespeler; Mrs. Robert Grumble of Preston and Mrs. Kenneth O'Connor of Hamilton; two sons, Gordon Wagner of Acton and Lloyd Wagner of Preston, 27 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Four children predeceased him. The body is at the Stager Pass-Funeral Home, where the funeral will be held Saturday, at 3: 30 with Rev. C. S. Roberts of Hespeler officiating, Interment will he in the Park Lawn cemetery, Preston.

Dear father of John, Randy, Brian of British Columbia, Robert of Cambridge, Kevin of Kincardine, Sharon (Mrs. Kenneth Crawford) of Edmonton, Alta., Diane (Mrs. John Cress) of Cambridge, Patricia (Mrs. Michael Worboys) and Linda (Mrs. Wayne Levitt) of British Columbia, Elicia of Kincardine. Mr. Wagner was born in Milverton and had been a resident of Cambridge, for 48 years. Also survived by one brother, Gordon of Acton and five sisters, Mrs. Alberta England of Toronto, Mrs. Frank (Esther) Wildfong of Cambridge, Mrs. Pearl Stuart of Elmira, Mrs. Lorene Grumble of Cambridge, Verna (Mrs. Kenneth O'Connor) of Hamilton and 12 grandchildren. Resting at the Barthel-Stager Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Rd., Cambridge (Preston), where funeral service will be held Monday, at 3: 30 p.m. Interment in Parklawn cemetery.

    WILDFONG, Douglas Frank \endash Passed away peacefully at Cambridge Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at age 76. Dear son of the late Esther (nee Wagner) and Frank Wildfong.

    Beloved husband of Kathleen (nee Ingram). Loving father of Brian (Brenda), Bruce (Suzanne), Barry (Shelley), Darlene (Milosh) Nadvornik, and Deanna Overland. Cherished grandfather of Kelly, Emily, Erica, Isabel, Megan, Ben, Alexandra, Katrina, Milosh Jr., Jonathan, and Ryan. Dear brother of Jack (Joanne) Wildfong. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

    Doug was predeceased by his first wife Marion (1986).

    Doug's family will welcome friends at Lounsbury Funeral Home, 1766 Franklin Blvd., Cambridge on Friday, June 24th from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, June 25th at 11 am in the funeral home chapel. Interment to follow at New Hope Cemetery, Cambridge.
    In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Cambridge Memorial Hospital Foundation or Firefighter Basket Fund.

    John Richard Wildfong, born in Cambridge (Hespeler), Ontario, passed away peacefully on December 24, 2021, in Okotoks, Alberta at the age of 78 years. He will be dearly missed by his wife Joanne and loving children Donald Wildfong, Scott (Jodi) Wildfong, Jeff (Tina) Cordingley and Jennifer (Steve) Cordingley. He will be fondly remembered by grandchildren Sam, Max, Kayla, Jesse and Avania, sister-in-law Kathy Wildfong and many nephews and nieces. The youngest of two boys born to Frank and Esther Wildfong, he now joins those who went before him; his parents, brother Doug and sister-in-law Marion.

    Jack played hockey for the Hespeler Shamrocks, and later, the Hamilton Red Wings, an affiliate of the Detroit Red Wings (Memorial Cup, 1962; inducted into the Hamilton Sports Hall of Fame, 2015. He loved hockey and took great pleasure in watching his grandchildren play the sport.

    Jack had many careers through life, from sheet metal work to real estate to project management and consultation. In 1992, he and his wife moved to Calgary, Alberta where they have resided ever since. Not one to sit still, he took great pleasure in fixing things and renovation; tackling challenges head on until he managed to solve them.
    As one who was innately social, there was no greater pleasure for Jack than spending time in the company of family and good friends. He was a great conversationalist, debater and jokester.

    Sincere thanks and appreciation to staff at South Calgary Health Campus for their diligent treatment, and the staff and volunteers at the Foothills Country Hospice for their compassionate care and expertise. A celebration of life and legacy will be held at a later date. Donations in memory of Jack would be appreciated to Lisaard & Innisfree Hospice.
