Of 1331 Queen St., Preston (Cambridge), at the South Waterloo Memorial Hospital, on Monday, Dec. 16, 1974, Hugh Higgins, beloved husband of DoIlie Butts; dear father of Melinda, Rosemary, William and Gerrard, all of Preston, in his 59th year. Mr. Higgins was born in Cape Breton, N.S. and had resided in Preston, for 27 years. He was custodian at Conestoga College, a member of St. Clement's Church and veteran of the Second World War. Mr. Higgins is survived by three brothers; Thomas, John and Fred of Preston; five sisters; Rose (Mrs. Anthony McLean) of St. Catharines, Mrs. Mary Livingstone of Preston, Elizabeth (Mrs. Michael Scwarko) of Preston, Sarah (Mrs. George Ritchie) of Sydney, N.S. and Margeret (Mrs. Herman Harvey) of Preston. Resting at the Barthel-Stager Funeral Home, corner Queen and Argyle Sts., Preston Cambridge, until Wednesday morning, then to St. Clement's Church, for funeral mass, at 10 a.m. Interment in Parklawn cemetery.
