    SPENCER, Reta May (nee Quirk)

    Formerly of Glen Morris. Born, April 3, 1919, passed away peacefully, yet suddenly, at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital on Saturday, February 18, 2012. Beloved wife of the late Henry Spencer (1987). Step-mother of Ken Spencer (Lorna) of Cambridge and Florence Smith (Jack) of St. George. Loving Grandma Reta of 13 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren. Sister-in-law of Lorraine Cadiou, Gladys Spencer and Joyce Spencer. Reta will also be sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews, extended family and close friends. Reta was a resident of Hilltop Manor for the past three years and will be missed by all the residents and staff. Predeceased by her parents, James Joseph Quirk and Lily Maud Quirk (nee Cadiou) and her siblings; Muriel Quirk, Edith Quirk, James Quirk and Charles Cadiou, as well as her step-daughters, Marilyn Elvin and Shirley Huddle. Resting at Corbett Funeral Home, 95 Dundas Street, Cambridge, where the family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 21, 2012, from 7-9 p.m. Funeral Services will be conducted in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, February 22, 2012, at 1: 30 p.m., with visitation one hour prior. Interment will follow at Parklawn Cemetery.
