    DAY, Verna I.

    On Sunday, July 17, 2005, at her residence. St. Luke's Place, in her 94th year. Loving daughter of the late John and Ruby Day. Dear sister of Gladys Hahn, also survived by her brother-in-law, Clare Langston, both of Cambridge. Prececeased by the late Robert Day, Frank Day. Laurena Langston, Gerald Day. Sadly missed by her 11 nephews and nieces and their families. Miss Day was a long time school teacher, having taught many years at Preston Public Schools, in Cambridge and was a member of St. Paul's United Church. The family will receive friends at the Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Rd., Cambridge on Tuesday, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Ser-vice will he conducted at the Barthel Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 20, 2005, at 1 p.m., with Andre Tieman officiating. Interment at Park Lawn Cemetery.

    Of 14 Spruce St., Cambridge, Sunday, Feb. 26, 1989, at Cambridge Memorial Hospital. Beloved husband of Mary Peart and dear father of Ted and his wife Jocelyne of Cayuga, Frank and his wife Jane of Millgrove, Ont., Ruth Bark and her husband Donald of Barrie, Marion Day and her husband Terry Young of Mississauga. Sadly missed by his grandchildren, Laura, Sean, Justin, Mary, Katelyn and Stephanie. Survived by a brother, Rev. Gerald Day of Windsor; two sisters, Verna Day and Gladys (Mrs. Roy Hahn) of Cambridge. Predeceased by one brother, Frank and one sister, Rena Langston. Mr. Day was born in Damascus, Ont., lived most of his life in Cambridge. Retired from Canada Manpower of Kitchener. A veteran of the Second World War, RCAF and RAF, serving four years in India with the 31st Squadron; member of the Preston Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 128 and the Preston Masonic Lodge No. 297. Friends will be received at the Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Rd., Cambridge, Monday (today) Feb. 27, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services, Tuesday, at 1: 30 p.m., at the funeral home, with Rev. Harry Herlihey officiating. Interment in Parklawn cemetery.

    Of 43 Highland Cres., Cambridge, on Saturday, Sept. 3, 1988, at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, Laurena Day. Beloved wife of Clare Langston, dear mother of Frank of Pickering and Jane (Mrs Andre Tieman) of Vineland. Lovingly remembered by eight grandchildren: two brothers, Robert of Cambridge and Gerald of Windsor: two sisters, Gladys (Mrs. Roy Hahn) of Cambridge and Verna Day, both of Cambridge. Predeceased by one brother, Frank. Mrs. Langston was born in Cambridge (Preston) and returned to Cambridge, five years ago from Ottawa. She was a registered nurse, having graduated from Hamilton General Hospital Nurses Training. The family received friends at the Barthel-Stager Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Rd., Cambridge, Monday, 7-9 p.m. and will continue today (Tuesday), 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home, Wednesday, Sept. 7, at 1: 30 p.m. Interment Parklawn cemetery, Cambridge.

    DAY, John Francis "Frank"

    Passed away peacefully, at his residence, after a lengthy battle with alcoholism, on Sunday, April 26, 2009, in his 57th year. Dear father of Stephanie Day and her partner Clinton Worron of Waterford and her mother Jane Day of Stoney Creek. Survived by his brother, Ted Day and his wife Jocelyn of Cayuga and his sisters; Ruth Bark and her husband Donald of Orillia, Marian Day and her husband Terry Young of Thunder Bay and six nieces and nephews and one great-niece. Predeceased by his parents Robert and Mary Day. Frank was born in Galt on December 8, 1952 and was the owner of Day's Overhead Maintenance and Erectors (D.O.M.E.). He was an avid outdoorsman, canoeing, hunting and working outdoors. Cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends at the Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Road, Cambridge on Friday, May 8, 2009, from 7-9 p.m. and on Saturday, May 9, 2009, from 12: 30 p.m. until the Memorial Service time at 1: 30 p.m.
