Of Westminster, Parkwood Hospital, London, Ont., on Wednesday, Nov. 30, 1983, at Victoria Hospital, London, in his 77th year. Beloved husband of the late Ethel Shiers; dear father of Winston of Brampton and Mrs. Nancy Dorrington of Kitchener. Lovingly remembered by five grandchildren. Dear brother of Wilson and Selburne, both of Halifax, N.S., Burton of Hubbards, N.S., Mrs. Norma Isnor of Dartmouth, N.S., Verna (Mrs. Frank Bridge) of Nanaimo, B.C. and Thelma (Mrs. Wilfred McKeown) of Halifax, N.S. Mr. Coolen was born in Nova Scotia and moved to Cambridge in 1961; was retired from Freeport Hospital; a member of St. John's Anglican Church, Cambridge; a member of the Nova Scotia Masonic Lodge; a veteran of the Second World War and a member of the Preston Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 126. Resting at the Barthel-Stager Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Rd., Cambridge, where the family will receive friends on Friday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Saturday, Dec. 3, 1983, at 2 p.m. Interment Parklawn cemtery.
