McCRUDDEN, William James "Jim"

Peacefully, at his home, with his family by his side, after a courageous battle with cancer on Monday, August 25, 1997, Jim, at the age of 80 years. Jim was born in Galt and was the loving husband of the late Rita Renner (1996) whom he was married to for 53 years. Dearest father to his children, Donna and her husband Glenn Foss of Calgary, Pat and her husband Gord Steele, Bill and his wife Shirley McCrudden, Jane McCrudden, all of Cambridge and John and his wife Debbie McCrudden of Kitchener. Grandpa will be sadly missed by his grandchilren, Trevor and Michelle Steele, Chad and Sara McCrudden, Kelly and David McCrudden and his great-granddaughter, Danyka. Jim is survived by his sister, Rita Hawey, his brother Bert and his wife Marg, all of Cambridge and his brother, Jack and his wife Miriam of Mississauga. Jim is predeceased by his infant daughter, Janet (1944). He will be sadly missed by his many relatives and friends. Jim retired from Babcock-Wilcox, where he worked for 33 years. He was a veteran of the Second World War and a member of The Royal Canadian Legion, Preston Branch #126. The family will receive friends at the Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Road, Cambridge, on Tuesday (today), from 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, August 28, 1997, at St. Clements Roman Catholic Church, 745 Duke St., Cambridge, at 10 a.m. Interment Park Lawn Cemetery, Cambridge.

Passed away, at Cambridge Memorial Hospital on Sunday, March 24, 2002, in his 53rd year. Beloved husband of Shirley Wilson: loving father of Chad and his wife Crystal and Sara, all of Cambridge. Dear brother of John and his wife Debbie of Kitchener, Donna Foss and her husband Glenn of Calgary, Pat Steele and her husband Gard, Jane Bellmore and her husband Ed, all of Cambridge. Loving son-in-law of Irene Wilson: brother-in-law of Gerald Islet and his wife Helen, Harold Wilson and his wife Kathy and sister-in-law, Marylou Gellow and Jack, all of Wasaga Beach. Also survived by nieces and nephews. Bill was predeceased by his parents, William and Rita McCrudden and his sister, Janet and father-in-law, Harold Wilson. Bill was born in Kitchener on May 2, 1949 and has lived all his life, in Cambridge. He was an employee of National Grocers, a member of St. Clements RC Church and the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 126, Preston. The family will receive friends at the Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Rd., Cambridge on Tuesday, March 26, 2002, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral mass will be held from St. Clements RC Church on Wednesday, March 27, at 10 a.m. Interment Parklawn Cemetery.
